ff Boss Tournment Finals-Group Stages

well here they r at last. the massively over-hyped disapointing end to all the boss tournments of recent months :cool:

it works pretty much the same way as the ff summon tournment. the bosses must battle there way out of their group to reach the knock out stages. then they will battle until a winner emerges to take the crown as best boss in ff history.

remember your votes, as always, are essential. in each round u must vote for your fav bosses. i cant stress enough its not JUST based on hardness. if it was, Penance WOULD EASILY win. u decide on hardness, character development, character design, coolness etc. Anything u want! we have already seen several big names crash out in Qualifying including Sephiroth. so it is a VERY open tournment.

every boss has battled through a huge domestic tournment to qualify for these finals...they are all here on merit. as usual its 3 points for a victory, 1 point for a draw and zero for a defeat. only the top two from each group can progress.

Greiver(ffVIII)- :whoa: I didn't vote Kefka? And the reason is simply because I enjoyed the battle with Greiver more than the battle with Kefka. The final boss battle with Kefka was about the only point in FFVI that was a little dissaponting. And Greiver just looks so cool.

Diamond Weapon(ffVII)- Diamond weapon all the way... simply.

Ultima Weapon(ffVIII)- Dark anima is a powerfull openant... but Ultima Weapon is the GREATEST BOSS IN GAME HISTORY!:tongue:

hey Ultima, which aspect of Kefka last fight was disapointing? do u mean his easyness? or actual story set up/ music/boss design etc?

i,m just curious, cause i thought it was best part of the whole game :cool: . but hey Greiver was really cool as well (his attacks/design and music are all :love: ).

1) I think the 2 first battles were pretty boring. 2) I just don't really like the music that plays trough the 3 first battles (but the one on Kefka himself is very good). 3) The 2nd battle take more time than the 4th one... it just feel wrong. 5)And finaly... his attacks... they'r not my taste... I don't know how to put it but... I just don't like them (yea, I know I'm weird :rolleyes2 ) they'r just not "intressting" enough. :tongue:

I just think that some of the other bosses were more "intressting" than the final battle... and that's just weird since the final boss SHOULD be the most "intressting" battle.

Oh, and Shadow battleing Atma weapon would be the greatest moment in the game. :tongue:

lol. i think its just music taste that realy dertimines it. i love all the music (but i,m a classical music nut...particulary the Organ :love:)

though some of his attacks were odd i would agree. i did like his 16 attacks counter move though :eek: .

Well, I didn't disslike the battle or something... I just expected more.
Yea, the 16 attacks move was good. But he almost never used it.

ANYWAY... I just liked the battle with Greiver alot more and Greivers music is my 3th or 4th fav final boss music.

your right , Greiver was an amazing battle.

p.s- i think the 16 hit move only occurs when u kill one of his parts. if he could use the move every turn he could possibly have been hard :rolleyes2 .

what is your fav final boss music? of course mine is Sephiroth, with Kefka second.

Thats a good idea Aeris, my top three favorite Final Boss themes are Legendary Beast, The Last Battle from IX, and Dark Messanger. Another thing you could do is do a ff music tournament with every single soundtrack in it. You could run it like you did the boss tournament.

Odin(ffIV) had a tight match against DeathGuise(ffIX). Deathgiuse took an early 2-1 lead, but Odin came back to clinch a 3-2 victory.

Paragon(ffX-2) may be a weapon, but hes still lame, hence losing to Lich(ffI) 4-1.
