View Full Version : Eisgaean Conflict #1

Agent Proto

A band of advanced barbarians from an unknown location has suddenly appeared near the coast of Desierto sailing across the unknown ocean. The ship appears to be heading towards New Canada, and will set foot within weeks (or a few days ;) ) This might become a distraction for the nations in southern Eisgaea. The barbarians pose as a huge threat towards the nations of New Canada and Elennanórë. They also pose a slight threat towards Desierto.

More on this as the nations react to the threat of possible invasion of advanced barbarians.

i can send some troops from my forts if they are needed.

How are they going to reach there? There's no roads connecting the nations. They can't cross the mountains either as that's hazardous.

i could call for aid from some of my allies

There's no sea travel, and no road travel, so no-one can give each other aid. Of course, these barbarians are advanced, so they can.

I think this is Proto's way of encouraging people to build roads in between states. But uh, this would be impossible as no nation in the world borders on each other, the closest being SSL and GC.

Au contraire. As an example, Elennanórë and Desierto have a trade-pact, and a road to go with it. :D

Of course, I take the view that there are unofficial roads everywhere. Made by man, but not by state. :)

Oh. You put Myridia down for some of those inter-state roads please Nait. Everyone'd agree due to the pact thing.

I'm also doing this for another reason. You see New Canada? The leader has not made a thread, nor made any contribution. Just a way to get rid of them, if possible. :p Anyhoo. Moving on.

I'd give aide.. but I dont exactly have a way to get there, nor people to send. >.<

If they invade Desierto then yes I will do something. I don't have an alliance with New Canada so meh to them :p

The barbarians have decided to head into the bay above of New Canada. They may make landfall soon.

I'm gonna build a road using my construction force of thieves.
It goes like this (as long as pr00t and everybody else is okay with it)

Rune to Canterbubble
Canterbubble to Grimmingad
Grimmingad to Ohne Wasser
Ohne Wasser to Ellerkem
and Ellerkem to Fellaeton
Fellaeton to Rune

Post if you are okay with this road.
Of course, Proot has to okay it first.
If anybody wants to help me build this road it'd be greatly appreciated. :D

heres the plans

The plan is flawed in a couple ways.

1. The roads are too straight.
2. Building roads across mountains at this moment is impossible.
3. No is no third reason.

Phil
08-23-2004, 01:34 AM
well so what exactly can we do?

Agent Proto
08-23-2004, 02:01 AM
Do something about it then? You can build a road down to New Canada from Vincentland and send some help to fend off the barbarians. Be a little creative.

Phil
08-23-2004, 02:06 AM
okay then I've commenced building the road. :D
It'll take about one and a half days in our time.

Agent Proto

The barbarians have landed and attacked and taken over New Canada by surprise. They are also heading north.

escobert

I have put patrols out on the roads to watch for barbarian movment. I am gathering all the troops I can to head to the south boarder.

Phil
08-25-2004, 01:04 AM
I'm building walls around my city and sending 1000 troops to patrol the new road.

escobert
08-25-2004, 01:29 AM
I can have my men help patrol and maybe build a wall or fortress in the south.

Agent Proto

okay then I've commenced building the road. :D
It'll take about one and a half days in our time.

In the meanwhile, I've went ahead and did the proposal project. Here. It's for Nait to put on the world map.

I'm not adding roads for New Canada, seeing as how that's enemy territory for now. :D

EDIT:

And othervise, too, I'm feeling a bit unlikely when I add fast roads. Roads take a helluva lot time to do, but, I'm rationalising it so that the Barbarians are taking a bloody long time to work things up.

Is it possible to retake New Canada?

Shlup
08-31-2004, 08:36 AM
Uh... our troops are moving to set up camp around the guardposts at the outskirts of land our nation has established so far.

Agent Proto

The barbarians have decided to stop and withdrew back into their new territory, New Canada.

chaos: Alright, we'll have CloudLeonhart decide our battle tactics...

The Triumphant Hero

OK then... my plan to retake New Canada, if everyone is okay with it, is to send a small diversionary force (about 100 soldiers) to the side border of new canada, and a main force (about 1000 soldiers) to the top border shortly after the 100 men attack. The smaller force should draw the enemy away from the front border and leave them opened for the main force. Any other nation who want to help should go in from different angles. The key strategy here is to bait and overwhelm. If this can't work for any reason, PM me and I'll change it.

Phil

You might want to wait to see what the barbarians next move is. If they're peacefull, should we attack them? But hey- if you think its a good idea, by alll means do it. Thats why your the military strategist and not me :D

chaos: Good strategy. And if the other nations do not do to much, then New Canada will be property of Vincentland! I think...
