FF7 for pc

I had FF7 for my psx for quite a while but than it got scratched ALOT and it stopped working so I decide to get FF7 for the pc so ok I also have a controller for the pc thats exactly like the psx controller all buttons work ok but the button where the square is is like a freakin crazy when I press it it's like I press all the other buttons at 1 time so I am asking is the square button any use in the game I forgot... do I use it in any part of the game I am asking so I can bind it to another key so I can use it if not even better

You'll most likely use Square for mini-games, so if I were you I'd find a way of configuring your controller. I've never used controlers for my computer, so you'll have to read up on a help document or something.

You could also get a disc resurfacer. They're not terribly expensive.

Hell, if it's FF7 PC, you can set the Square-button as a button on your keyboard, no worries, be happy. More of a workaround than a proper fix, sure enough, but it's ok in an emergency.
