Could someone please help me prove, that the slope in a straight line is
m = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)
using the pythagorean method? I get a feeling that it's really simple but I'm feeling stupid today.
Thanks!

It's been a long time since I've been in Geometry, so I don't really remember how to do proofs.

a = y2-y1
b = x2-x1
m = rise/run (this step is lacking, i know)
m = a/b
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Baloki, your attitude in your response was very unnecessary. Does it say anywhere that this is just a Homework Forum? No. It is the Help Forum. If you can't help...just don't post. That's what I do.
EDIT: Why was this thread moved into Feedback? *moves*
