I think that this was the best console ever. I mean you know those arcade machines that had King of Fighters and Fatal Fury at the 7-11's in early-mid 90s? Well a Neo Geo was pretty much the arcade machine itself. It's made of the same software and hardware that is used for the arcade cabnets, rather then the stor owners having to spend 500 dollars on a new cabinet for a new game all they had to do was go buy the cartdrige and stick it in the hardware on the inside.
The Neo Geo was released in the US in about 1992 and was way beyond it's time, had better graphics then the SNES or the Genesis because it was pretty much a compact version of the arcade game attached to your TV. But the reason why it fell out n the states was because of the price. The console cost about 600 bucks and each game was about 200 bucks each.
Anyway, has anybody ever actually played a game on a Neo Geo system at home? If so what games?
I play Neo Geo arcade cames in arcades alot but I never touched a Neo Geo console ever. I played almost every KOF game (except 95) the first two Samurai Spirits/Showdown, and Fatal Fury 1-3.
