I was hoping this thread could be used for people who hear a song on the radio or on TV, just remember a piece of it or just remember what commercial or TV show it went to, and ask about it.

Example - I heard a piece of some kinda galaxy song or something on one of the radio stations' little advertising medleys of themselves (ya know, that thing they do when they blaze by fifty different songs all at once and then say in a deep voice KIOU or something), and it was a solo guy singing stuff like "the world spins 900 miles an hour" and "the planets go 90 miles a second" or something like that.

I also keep hearing this annoyingish-catchyish Lenny Kravitz song on some ads and on the radio, what song is that?

I think the Galaxy song is: Monty Python - Galaxy Song

Well, maybe not, but the lyrics you posted are similiar to the songs lyrics... Like here is a bit of it:

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.
It's a hundred thousand light years side to side.
It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick,
But out by us, it's just three thousand light years wide.
We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point.
We go 'round every two hundred million years,
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe

Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown
And things are hard or tough
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft
And you feel that you've had quite enoooooooough.
Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving,
revolving at 900 miles an hour
It's orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it's reckoned, the sun that is a source
of all our power

Is that the part you're thinking of? Because that's Python all the way.
