What version you prefer the PS2 version or PC version?
and why...

Haven't tried PS2 version, but I cant see how it would be better simply because graphics are so much better on PC. =D /em loves full details.

Well I don't think i got a choice to get the PC version don't think FFXI have a PS2 Europe verion yet....

The PS2 version is good because you're guaranteed a decent level of quality. The game was designed to run on the PS2 harddrive with the PS2 processor. You will get good performance. The PC has higher potential, if you have a high end unit. But a low end PC can also be worse than a PS2 - worse graphics, worse sound, and more lag. PC graphics are only better when the PC's hardware can support it. Most don't. Also, we all know how glitchy Windows can be. It'd stink to have to reinstall FFXI, and go through the hours long initial update process again. The PS2 version is safe in that respect. I know my PS2 will always work when I need it. I've never had the same confidence in my PC. Still though, if your computer is great, I'd get the PC version just because ideally, it can be exponentially better in terms of graphics and sound.

Ok I like to play it in the PS2....

Info at GameFAQs says EU PC release will be 17SEP04, whereas EU PS2 release will be 31DEC04. Only one source of information I checked, but that site is almost always right on the money.

Makes sense that they would stagger it, there's been a quitting trend lately and in this case it would be a good way for them to keep fresh new players streaming in at intervals to solidify their income.
