A little help related to FF8

Ok, a little help, and apologies if this is not in the right forum!

I've installed FF8, again after a very long time, but when I play it there are stupid 'black squares' everywhere. I've had to put up with them since disc 1, and I am now on disc 2.

Is there any way I can get rid of them, and how? Because I am going to be driven positively insane soon.

no, i asked my friend about those black squares too. he told me they are supposed to be there so you dont go to places in the game that you arent supposed to yet but could if they were not there

ohhh... i feel like a dork. i dont know what those black squares are. i thought you were talking about other certain black squares on the world map.

:confused: I've never had black squares in my game...and I'm kind of glad too. They really make the game look really unprofessional

maybe you can change the screen size to 1026x600 or whatever and it will make it bigger....so no more black box
