In 5 hours, they will be setting up Flossmoor Fest.

Flossmoor Fest is where everyone in Flossmoor or in areas near Flossmoor celebrate the day this town was founded. It will have food, fun, games, rock climbing, and much more. It's not on the exact date it was founded, though.

Does your town or city celebrate the day it was founded?

My town doesn't celebrate the date that it was founded, but we are the Salmon Capital of the World and we celebrated that just this last weekend. I avoided it. The largest salmon caught was 45.86 pounds though.

I have no idea what date Corona was founded. Never even thought about it.

All I know is that Grand is a circle because it used to be a race track, and we used to have a lot of lemon trees. Then orange trees. Now we just have a ton of houses.

We celebrate the day the country was founded but not the city.

I live in California, where people don't care. We're just rows of houses with the occasional WalMart or Starbucks, so there's really no sense of town here.

"Occasional"? We practically live in WalMarts and Starbucks and you know it. We have at least six Starbucks near my house! In grocery stores even.

We have Gilbert Days, where we run around and have carnivals and stuff. Gilbert Godfried did show up at one once, believe it or not. I missed it, unfortunatly. Saddest day of my life.

We have this thing called "Victorian Night". I have NO IDEA what that's all about, but I imagine it has nothing to do with the founding of the town as probably no-one knows when it was built. That's England for you.

Anyway, on Victorian Night there's rides and LIGHTS! Oh YEAH! It's for the lighting of the Christmas lights! Oh well, it makes up for no Flossmore Fest :)

This proves that Gilbert is ten times the city that Chandler is.

I wish I had something to celebrate my town by, but not a lot of people would go. My town's really small... :/

We don't really have a Founder's Day in Fresno, but we do have Vintage Days at Fresno State every year. Oh yeah, and the Big Fresno Fair.

Yeah, well my town (london) is like 2000 years old (it used to be a roman settlement) so to find out founding date we would have to dig about 30 feet and dress up as romans to celebrate it.

My town probably does, but I never pay attention. This town is boring, anyway.

My town, Chandler, is like 80 years old. 80 years of, well, nothing.
