I've just noticed that whatever forum I go to involving Final Fantasy, I'm bound to find more writers there than compared to, say, Zelda, or Mario fanboards. Not to say there aren't any, but in my days of forum visiting I've found a great majority to be with Final Fantasy fans.

So...who here is a fellow avid writer? :)

I am fellow, but as of right now not too avid. In a way. I've just been too busy to seriously focus on my writing recently. I'd love to get back into it though, as I have so many ideas that I want to put to use.

I guess Final Fantasy is more inspiring than Zelda or Mario, Final Fantasy is very spirited and can easily inspire one to write.

I guess you could consider me a writer, although not an 'avid' one.

I write when I'm not lazy. That's very rare. I have tons of ideas for stories but I'm just to lazy to write. I also get writer's block for long periods of time. Mostly when I'm not lazy. Amazing how that works.

I'm a writer as well although I've been quite busy with school stuff so I haven't had much time for writing. I'll try to remedy that, though. :p

I'm not a "writer", per se. It's just when I'm given a writing assignment in English class, I usually do pretty well.

Right. I started with fanfictions just to work up to the whole fact while deciding my style. Now I do originals. Hooray for me.

Yes. Writing is my life. Not really much fiction though. I guess I'm more of an essayist.

I'm studying to become a professional writer, but I generally don't write fanfic or anything Final Fantasy related.

I don't write anything about Final Fantasy. And it doesn't inspire me, either.

I have mild talent in writing. I prefer to sketch though. My writing turns into a frenzied attempt to portray what's going through my head at the moment, which can be a LOT!

I enjoy writing, though I don't do it very often any more. When I do, I like my work to be unique, or at least unusual. At the moment I'm writing a lot of videogame-based poetry, and a semi-parodic view of the Star Wars universe. :)

I love writing fictional stories and also modifying existent stories.

At one point in my existance I was THE eoff poet. That was mostly goofy/fun stuff.( T_T i wish i had saved that stuff *sob*) Right now i'm working on a novel/series of novels with a friend. They are some kind of fantasy/sci-fi amalgomation, gathering inspiration from Isaac Asimov, Anne Rice, J.R.R. Tokien, and Terry Pratchet to name a few of the more directly inspiring authors. I can't get back into the flow of poetry as much any more. The precision of writing a novel seems to deaden the free-flowing spirit of a writer....at least it has mine. But ahem, in any case, i love to write.

polyonymous:
A fan fiction, or fan fic, is a story based off of another story or game or something of the like. Ex's: Final Fantasy, Zelda, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc. Like for Final Fantasy: using something like characters or the world in a story, branching off or going in depth on an already existing subject, and/or using the world/characters to contrive a new story, based on the world - oi. I'm going in circles. Basically for fun since you can't get it published without permission from the company that has rights.

That kind of goes without saying. Final Fantasy is the most popular videogame series ever.

I'm just a fan writer, I've written plenty of guides(some of which needs massive updating)...but I don't consider myself a professional writer by any means.

I think a better question is if anyone here has been published. That would be something.
