So what do you think about this song?

It's really great and almost the best... but there's still some better.

It's really great but not my favorite.

I am partial to piano solos, so I think it's great. But one song in the game is better (I'm even more partial to good strings pieces).

My favorite FF song of all time in and of itself. Though my current favorite
is Eternity off the X-2 Piano Collections album just because it's got a huge
part in it (like 3 out of the 6 minutes) that sounds nothing like Eternity,
except for the chord progression, but it's just the 2 people going at it
duel piano style. Doesn't get any better.
But To Zanarkand owns regular Eternity hands down anyway.

Though my current favorite is Eternity.
Is this the right song ?

Although the mp3 sounds infinitly better, that is Eternity. The one Optium is referring to is on the Piano Collection, and according to him it's a piano duet that's more than twice as long as the original song, sounds interesting. I wouldn't say To Zanarkand owns the original Eternity in the slightest, but that's just me.

No mid could ever hold any weight against mp3s. Here's the song I'm
talking about...
http://www.zezi.net/music/Final%20Fantasy%20X-2%20Piano%20Collections/12%20-%20Eternity%20~Memories%20of%20Wave%20and%20Light~.mp3
That is the correct song though, but just listen to this one and see for
yourself how different they sound. Listen to the entire thing because
at about 3 minutes into the song it gets ORGASMICALLY good. I've
ruined numerous pairs of pants listening to this song. ;]
Have fun :D

It wasn't doing it for me in the beginning, but the later 2/5ths of that piece was excellent. I wouldn't rank the whole piece over the original, but the later 2/5ths stand at least par with the original.

Great song. But if I have to be completely honest I must say that it's a little boring as well. Meaning that the struggle to keep up is just too big. But overall it's a great song.

Ehe, ya, the original song is much different but it's at the beginning,
before the Load screen. The opening credits I guess you could call it.
Very good song, after I finish learning To Zanarkand and The Nightmare's
Beginning I'm going to work on that one.

To Zanarkand isn't all that difficult, but I can imagine Eternity would take a while to get down. The first half wouldn't be too bad, but when you get to the middle point it would become a bit difficult.

To Zanarkand is more difficult than Eternity actually. The normal Eternity
I mean, not the Piano Collections version. That's played by 2 people, but
I think I might play a duo with a friend of mine for that song, should be
pretty sweet.

That's what I meant, the piano version. And are you sure it's a duet, it doesn't sound like it needs to be. It just sounds like a rather complex solo (at the latter half would be complex).

Yes, toward the end you can hear the bass, rhythm, and melody all at
the same time. The bass is single notes moving up in the key and played
by person A, the rhythm is chords played by either person, but probably
person B, and the melody is single notes and chords played by person B.
Plus the artists of the song are Noriko Matsueda & Takahito Eguchi.

Ok, I think I hear what you are talking about. I've never tried to hear piano music this closely without the sheet music infront of me. But, I think I hear four instances where all three are playing at once, and the melody doesn't ever sound like it's more than half an octave off from either the bass or the rhythm, and those could be played with one hand if you are that skilled (jazz players do it a lot).
I might be right or completely off when I say what I said, but Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi are the composers of the entire FFX-2 soundtrack, including the piano collection. They're the artists, but I don't think they are the performers. Look at this page (http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/avcd17444.html) and scroll to the bottom. I think this guy has copied the credits from the album, and it says this song is only performed by one person. I don't know.
Whatever the case, it's a nice song.

Holy crap dude, well I really do hope it's by one guy because that guy is
:love::love::love:ing amazing. I really hope you're right because I was completely
convinced that it was two people. I'm in awe at the moment. I thought it
was amazing when it was 2 people...now it's like holy crap squared.

Not that great for me. I think Auron's theme is the best song in this game.

Actually, it's by one girl :D
Go to amazon.com (or the like) and type in Hiroko Kokubu. She has a very impressive list of piano albums that she's been doing since 1987. She has some pretty good stuff.
