final fantasy tatoo

Hey. im a big fan of the final fantasy series, but ff7 is the big one for me, so i have decided to take a tatoo over my back, but i cant decide what the picture will be or what it shall say, if im going to have word there, so i could need some help, any suggestions and pictures would be nice??

you could do sumkind of collage, with many diff ff chracters merged together with *Final Fantasy forever*, i dont know. ultimately its up 2 you 2 find exactly what u want.

He is right. You should not do this. Your 24? So what? What about when you are 50? You are going to look RIDICULOUS with a huge tatoo based on a video game on your back. But it is your life so I guess you can do whatever you want. But IMO this is going to be one of your biggest mistakes you will ever make.

But if you must get one maybe you should make it look like this (without the playstation thing on the side and the things on the bottom)

I agree with all who've warned against getting a life-long reminder of a hobby from your youth.

But if I was going to get an FFVII tattoo, I'd get the meteor image from the FFVIII logo - that stylised green orb, trailing fire, which is usually seen behind the "Final Fantasy VII" text.

Maybe the meteor on the disc cover. It doesn't scream 'final fantasy 7' but it's still an important object in FFVII. So I guess it wouldn't look as silly as a spiky haired dude with an abnormally large sword when you're 50. Do whatever you want though. I'd probably choose a tattoo that's not from a game.

As soon as I read the thread title, it was the first thing that came to my mind.

Not to be rude, but cmon you're going to look ridiculous with Cloud or Sephiroth on your back when you're older....

So get the Meteor from the VII logo or the one from AC cuz it's a little cooler looking...

And then MAYBE have "VII" written under/over it to make it more game-themed because a meteor would be a little more open to interpretation.

I wouldn't get a game tattoo either, but that's not the point.

How about a summon? I know they're not all VII specific, but something like Ifrit, Shiva, Bahamut or Leviathan might be made to look good. They also have a degree of ambiguity if you decided you didn't like the game theme, though that's an aside.

Might be an idea to wait for Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus if you don't find something you're sure on, they could offer a lot of new thinking.

What kind of tattoo are you thinking? Dark, epic, cute?

My best friend slings ink for a living and we see some really obscure stuff. A full back piece is going to cost you a couple thousand bucks. Now, if you're really dead set on this I would agree with most of the people here and get the meteor. It's well known enough in the gaming community so gamers will know what it is. And it looks cool to the point where a non-gamer won't think dweeb and think it's just another one of those cool designs people get. And keep it small....
