I surprised my dad today on his 50th birthday by busting down a shitton of cash and flying my ass back to his house to surprise-visit him. He was thrilled, and everything went pretty damn well.

The topic is of course surprising people (ooh, ironic double entendre). Contribute.

I've done that on many occasions -- visiting my folks ahead of schedule or maybe once or twice unannounced. Sweet.

Surprises? Not too many. Boo!

If I could come up with better surprises than just acting like a stalker, sneaking up behind people and jumping on them, maybe I'd surprise people more often. Maybe.

:D

I surprise every single criminal out there who thinks they can get away with their diabolical schemes. But really, at this point no one should be surprised. Justice always prevails.

I surprisd a friend of mine once. Snuck up on her, and wrapped one arm around her neck (Not hard. More like a hug. Really!) and the other around her stomach. For my expert stealth, and use of the element of surprise I *just* about got an elbow in the gut and an eyeful of mase. So I don't think I'll press my luck on that one again...

In the park once, me and a couple of friends hid in some bushes and jumped out at a random woman and started yelling stuff like "WE'RE SQUID! WE'RE SQUID AND WE'RE PROUD OF IT! DON'T TRY TO OPPRESS US!" or something like that. Then we hurled ourselves back into the bushes.

Note: Cartoons lie about jumping into bushes. It hurts. :whimper:

I would have paid money to see that. I would've paid more to see her whacking you if you'd've stuck around.

I'm just kind in general, so people aren't surprised when I give them money.

I surprised a friend of mine by coming in the middle of her basketball game when she thought I was in another country. I didn't tell her i was coming. It was cool. it was the middle of the game when she saw me and then she just sprinted off the court towards me (but i yelled at her not too).
it was so much fun. *sigh*
