In the Underground Dwarves Castle. Find the pub there (it's behind the weapon and armor dealers if I remember correctly, go through the hole in the wall), and go to the odd-looking ground in the far right corner. Go through the wall, down some stairs, and there ya go!

No, guys, there really is a use for that item. What you have to do is get the smut item, and open up your menu, then open your playstation and put in FF7. Then you can use the item to go revive Aeris!!!! OMG IVE SEEN IT MYSELF! IT WORKS AND ITS SOOOOOOOOO COOL!

And if you get 99 of them, you get to see Cecil, Rosa, Kain, Edge, and Rydia chill on the beach in Costa Del Sol. :rolleyes2

Is the developer's room accessible in the SNES version? Because I've followed the instructions with my SNES 9x, but all I get is nothing.

It's in the Super Famicom version, but not the SNES version.

The developers room was taken out of the initial US release of FFIV (which was called FFII at the time). It was done so not only to prevent the "smut" item (which was removed anyway......), but also because they didn't think people would understand why it was in there. Like, all of a sudden, you're just talking to all these people with Japanese names and they're monsters.... Then you leave..... Not that the translation we got makes much sense anyway, but it does make a certain amount of sense if you know what video game politics were like back then.

It doesn't do anything. It's there to be amusing, much like the useless items in FFVII. Seriously.

Well, if you use it, the screen becomes tinted pink and the Calcabrina music plays for a few seconds.

Yes, but it doesn't actually DO anything. It doesn't alter your status, your stats, your HP or MP, your Level, your equipment, your items, your position, your abilities.... So basically it's just there for ****s and giggles.

Although it does make you wonder what the developers were doing looking at that when they shoulda been coding...

It's basically a joke item. The developers all hint at being lonely and isolated, in a humorous fashion. So apparently they soothe their loneliness by looking at smut. In the FFIV SNES fantranslation I have, if you use it, it not only does funky lighting and plays the Calcabrena music, but Cecil says "Ohh...my eyes..."

That's the sorta thing I'd say if I just saw something horrible..... And knowing Japan, the smut that the developers were looking at could have been.... no..... god no..... I DON'T EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!!!
