What are you typical practices involving cleaning and/or grooming (if you groom that is)? Do you have any opinions about people who groom and care a crapload about grooming that you MUST SAY TO PEOPLE WHO BRING THIS UP NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU STRUGGLE AGAINST THE EVIL KILLER TROLLS?

For me, this is (usually) everything I do to get super duper clean:

- wake up and roll around until I fall out of bed
- stumble around through my room, typically smashing into something
- Grab towel and electric toothbrush
- wander around until I reach the bathroom
- brush teeth with e. toothbrush. I don't use a cup so I run water into the drain as I rinse my mouth. I think I use about a liter or 3 (about a gallon?) of water just to brush my teeth.
- use http://a1468.g.akamai.net/f/1468/580/1d/pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/27777/200.jpg on face because it gets oily
- refreshed, I shower, shampoo with either http://www.net-scoop.dk/acatalog/icevasher.gif or http://www.canoe.ca/Lifewise2Beauty0301/05_fructis.jpg, condition for 5 mins while I soap down, then I rinse and leave shower
- use the following styling products on my hair:

http://www.beautydeals.net/shop/images/ice15605.jpg
Ice spiker. First I wet my hair a very little bit. I then take a dab and rub it with my hands. I then press my hair together upwards, making it like a mohawk (except I don't have mohawk hair so it looks dumb). I wait 5 minutes for it to set, then I press my hair down. Using 4 dabs (literally like 5 ml of the stuff), I fashion 8 spikes along the top of my head.

http://www.beautydeals.net/shop/images/14209.jpg
Ice spiker blast. I spray this all over my head.

http://www.beautydeals.net/shop/images/ice13590.jpg
Ice controller. Sometimes I use this instead or with the spiker blast.

Then I spray my leave-in conditioner: http://www.maximum-beauty.com/shopping/infusium/leaveintreat_maxbody.jpg

Hair set, I wash my hands, dry them, then get dressed and go out for the day! Yay!

Were the visual aids necessary? :o

Anyway, I shower with whatever shampoo and soap I've got, throw on some Old Spice, and throw a cap on my head so that I don't have to worry about styling my hair. And clothes, naturally.

Tried and true method.

I used to avoid these activities, until I found this

I love it.

Hey Meat Puppet, doesn't the conditioner just make your hair so soft and touchable? I can't stand washing my hair without conditioning it any more. What about the rest of you people?

Yeah, it's bloody brilliant. It makes me just wanna sit around all day and touch my hair and basically just feel pretty sexy. And it locks in colour, (PROVEN EFFECTIVE TOO!) So that's a plus.
I brought it when I was in Australia though, and I don't think it's released in my country yet. So if someone could send me a bottle that'd be great.

Once a month I take conditioner into my hair and leave it on for about half an hour. I also have some leftover super conditioners from when I bleached/coloured my hair yellow (yes, yellow). I use that every so often.

You live in NZ? Why not have your aussie friends mail it to you?

*visual aid-ness*

Clearasil ULTRA. I clear up my pimples with this. Not that I have the ultra strong acne that is mentioned on the label. I just like to get rid of my relatively few pimples quickly.
http://www.hairskinandhealth.com/CLEAR_ULTRA_cream.jpg

New Wave Gel. I gel my hair with this. My hairstyle isn't made for gel-ing mainly 'cause it's long and not spiked. But I still gel the part line area so I be confident that it'll hold together if someone messes with my hair. I actually use the purple one which holds better but I couldn't find a picture of it.
http://www.mychemist.com.au/images/Wella_New%20Wave%20Gel.jpg

Lynx Phoenix. For normal places like school. I'll use nothing or this. Not so much anymore, I'm too lazy these days
http://www.pharmacy2u.co.uk/assets/product_images/detail/LynxPhoenixBSpray200.jpg

Davidoff Cool Water: Deep. For big outings, formal stuff, whenever I'm around my girlfriend. I'll always use this. She bought this for me after all. Personally, I don't like it very much.
http://www.6minutes.net/images/beauty/be055-4.jpg

Lynx Shower Gel: Anti-Hangover. For showering. I use the new Snake Peel one now but Anti-Hangover's still good. I'll use normal Dove soap when I plan on using the Cool Water stuff above, the contrasting smells are horrible when combined.
http://darkness.net.nz/misc/anti-hangover-showergel_small.jpg

Head and Shoulders: Smooth and Silky. For washing my dandruffy dandruffy hair. I use Smooth and Silky because it's like I'm conditioning when I'm too lazy to use another product.

I use
http://www.odlifestyle.com/articles/A0016512/canstik.gif
Axe Body spray because I want stuff like this top happen:

http://home.insightbb.com/~bluesite/Image626.gif

I don't use that exact "scent" but I couldn't find a picture of the one I use. Unfortunatly that elevator experience has never happened to me. :( Commercials lie!

I also use Dep brand hair gel. Hold level SIX because I like having hard hair.

The shampoo I use, I buy from my hair cutter lady, I can't remember what it's called.

My showering schedule is off lately. It's 12.19 PM, I've been up since five thirty, and I just got out of the shower 20 minutes ago.

Anyway, both morning and night I wash my face with Clean and Clear Foaming Cleanser. And a red washcloth. And a blue towel.

In the mornings, I then eat breakfast and brush my teeth. Then I throw on a bandana and take my dad to work. Then I come home and usually have a shower. I use Herbal Essences products, for dry hair. The pink kind. I shampoo and condition, never bunching my hair up, because that leads to tangles. Then I soap down with whatever body wash I have and get out. I don't put anything else in my hair, and let it air dry, which is a pain since it's so long and such, but it I used a dryer.... *shudder*

How many of you were paid to advertise Garnier?

I have this new so-called "shampoo" in powder form. It's so totally organic and natural and guarantees in making hair thick and shiny.

But it smells like genetically altered tea and when you make a paste of of it with water it looks exactly like poop. How's that for natural? :eep:

Do you have any opinions about people who groom and care a crapload about grooming that you MUST SAY TO PEOPLE WHO BRING THIS UP NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU STRUGGLE AGAINST THE EVIL KILLER TROLLS?

You have way too much time on your hands.

I'm just incredibly vain

Ouch!

1. I get up after I've hit the snooze at least five times, 40 minutes after I was supposed to get up.

2. I rush to eat breakfast.

3. I go downstairs and brush my teeth with some generic, whitening toothpaste.

4. I put on some face cream that does a good job of keeping the pimples away.

5. I generally don't do much to my hair as it's too long to style, but not long enough to brush or anything like that. I also don't really care if it's sylish or not. Most people at my school don't care either, as that's the haircut most of the guys have, I'm unoriginal. But sometimes I have to comb it a bit just so it doesn't look really, really bad.

0.? At night I take my showers. I use ivory soap and some hair shampoo and conditioner. I don't really use anything in particular, just whatever I have in the shower. I do this so that I can wake up 40 minutes after I'm supposed to and still make it to school. My showers have to be at least 20 minutes long, just because.

Typical morning: I wake up and spit in the sink. Then I hop in the shower and soap myself clean, and use this color-treated-shampoo and color-treated-conditioner, and sometimes I shave various parts of my body, but nobody SEES my legs or anything, so usually I don't bother.

Then I rinse everything out and blow dry my hair and brush my teeth and wash my face and get the gunk out of my eyes.

I used to use Garnier, but then I dyed my hair and had to get color-treated Garnier shampoo, but then we couldn't FIND it anywhere, so I got this expensive stuff from a salon <3

I get up to that annoying alarm, put away my japanese-style bed ^^, Comb my hair if it's messy. Change clothes, shove anything that isn't shoved in my backpack in my backpack(i.e., magic cards and homework I barely tried at because it was too easy). Eat breakfast, go to school. Oh, and of course put on my wonderful deodorant.

If I just got out of the shower, I comb it all down with a pick comb, mess it up by shaking my head, and part it down the middle. Then mess it up again(This makes it so the part is still visible, but making it so I look like more of an anime freak.) I need a hair cut... My hair is probably about 5 inches - a bit long for a guy. Mainly a guy who wears glasses. That's my morning/after a shower routine in a pargraphed summary! Have fun!

Is it hard to find, much less buy in stores?

You can actually find it at your local drugstore.

I don't need vanishing cream...I'm already invisible...:(

Me? I use the aforementioned Fructis products (Trust me...welding sparks and whatnot are hell on the hair. Anything that brings it back to CIVIL is godly by me...), and a funny soap, it's trpile layered, with patchouli, as well as two other...ummm...flavors?

I also use a variation of old spice deodorant. Extra Strong, or something...

Steps to Nickyness:

1) Wake up, aided by alarm clock and stereo
2) Debate whether or not to have breakfast. Drink green tea.
3) Shower! Big ups to Protex Soap and whatever that teatreeoilorganicnoanimaltestingsomethingthing is that I use.
4) Get dressed. Take vitamins (today's kind were shaped like hippos!), moisturise with some obscure german somethingdo, brush hair and or spray with sunsilk somethingsomething.
5) Feed cat, feed grandfather, attempt to read newspaper.
6) SHEEEEE'S LEAVING HOME BYE BYE
7) Oh, and I forgot. RED SEAL SMOKERS' TOOTHPASTE IS THE BEST EVER! I refuse to use anything else.
