The MP3's are opening in a web page now. It's takes a long time to load to. Will it ever go back to opening in Media Player?

Hold shift, right click on the mp3, select open with, and then when the window pops up select Media Player and make sure you check the box that says always run using this.. or something.

It's possible the server you're using is sending incorrect/no mime type information perhaps due to misconfiguration, causing your browser to treat it differently (as text instead of audio in this case).

I find this problem more with torrents than mp3s, since torrents are a less common file type.

That may be it. How do I fix it?

One thing that you should check is to go to "Tools" -> "Options" and go to the "File Types" tab and ensure that mp3's are selected (meaning that Windows Media Player is the default application to play these file types).

It tried that, but it still says MP3's are set to WMP. Hmmmm. I recently had a block put up, could that have anything to do with it?

Looking at it more closely, the page is actually Quick Time. I wouldn't mind so much if the loading time wasn't so long. Here's an example: http://www.eyesonff.com/dl/Chrono%20Cross/mp3/OST/1-01_Scars_Left_by_Time.mp3

Is this something new that the site did, or is my PC just screwed up?

Ok you need to open quicktime player, should be in your start menu, and find the option where it tells you what files it plays, tell it not to play MP3's.

Then go to the same option in WMP and tell it to play MP3's and that should fix it, also tick the box saying always check if its the default player

It's not actually opening in quick time player. Click on the link and you will see what I mean.

Oh, those aren't YOUR mp3s, they are mp3s you want to download.

Right click the link and choose 'save as'

It won't let me.

Why doesn't it work?

Copy the link (if you have to, view source code) and paste it in a download manager like freshdownload or flashget

Well my computer crashed and when I rebooted the MP3's open in WMP again. Problem fixed.

Instead of makeing another topic about it, can someone tell me what happednd to the FFIX MP3's?

The links from the sidebar are not linking to the proper directory. Dunno if it is intentional or not though. I'll tell BoBBu/clout what it is and (t)he(y)'ll fix it if needs be.
