Ouch!

Whenever there's a little arrow pointing to a banner, saying, "Click Me!" do you feel compelled to click it?

I always feel like clicking it, and then I realize it could be exactly like Java Script Hell, so I never click it. Then I feel like I've missed something, though.

How 'bout you?

Yes, I click because there might be something there that shouldn't be there and then I would have to remove it.

Well if it looks interesting. Like there's this one banner which is like sort of a game. Shoot the monkey or punch the duck or something.
I always hit the monkey or duck....or what was it again....?? @_@

And YES. I do click on 'click me's. It's like seeing a 'kick me' sign on someones butt. I have to kick it or I'll just feel so incomplete ...

I have to. They're DEMANDING that I do. Something bad might happen if I don't :(

chaos: If I just clicked the hyperlink into this thread, then obviously I am... :p

Rubedo: But truly, sometimes I click it, sometimes I don't. I never find that it matters though, and it also depends on our mood. If we have a lot of free time, we go and think 'why not?', whereas if we are in a rush we don't even read the text.

I do no idea why I just wanna read it bad that is why I clicked your thread instead of skipping it. I feel even more compelled to click/look at/read it when they tell me not to I usually don't if they tell me not to unless there is no possilbe way they can find out .

Can't say I've ever felt like that personally, but that's because I'm generally avoiding adverts left, right and centre. Watching TV, adverts come on, channel is switched. Same for radio. Any junk mail through the letter box gets binned by default. Spam mail is deleted and blocked post haste etc. etc. I know whats got priority around here, and no amount of flashing lights or 'come hither' language will convince me otherwise
