Okay, I keep seeing these nice rounded boxes on sites (the second new EoFF layout for example). And I'd like to know the best way to do these. I know you can use the marquee tool in Photoshop, then smooth the rectangle to make it circular. But I always seem to end up getting corners which aren't smooth.

Someone like Baloki might know what I'm going on about.. =P

I use a pen tool, how sad does that sound.

I just load up PSP5 as it has old features, zoom in really big and draw my curved edges with 2 lines and a dot, I'll go draw an example quickly and post it :D

I find the easiest way to make rounded corners is to put tape up at 45 degree angles on your monitor. 8-)

Honestly I've never done rounded corners so I don't know if there is an easy way to do it.

I just jack someone else's rounded corners, color them how i want, and resize them :)

You have PS? They DO have a rounded corner tool, right?

If you have Photoshop use the rectangle tool.

Then just crop the bottom to leave the rounded top part.

In photoshop, if I want slightly rounded boxes, I use the rectangle tool. But if I want more dramatically rounded boxes, I turn to my nifty brushes (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Hanniez/brushes.jpg) and use those to erase and round the edges.

Or you can just use the square select type tool and change the feather option that will be up the top when you select it. Much easier.

So did the tape trick work for you?

I use the rectangular marquee tool in Photoshop, then invert the elliptical marquee too to erase the sharp edges. Works great for me. :p

Did I say *tries those things*? I think I meant *tries those things except for Flying Mullet's idea* =P
