Few Questions About The Game

This is the only FF I don't own, due to thefact it was an online one and it seemed a bit daunting?

So, a few questions:

1) When you are in the world with your character, do you meet other characters and form partys? If so, can you meet other partys with your party and change?

2) Can you fight against other players, i.e - one party against another to get items and stuff (ala NWN online?)

3) In the story, if you have x many people playing on a server (and I assume your only allowed 3ppl per party), is every person on the server trying to achieve the same objective within the story? If one party does something first, does it mean another party cannot do it?

4) If you have a party with 2 other people, do you have to play with them online also, or you start not in their party because they are not present, and you have to move around a lot?

I'm pretty confused to be honest!

wow you got this whole game confused lol.. I dont even know how to describe this to you.. hopefully someone else can do a better job, but this is an MMORPG, other people on other computers playing with you.. thats really all i can say.

Answer:
Yes, you meet other players in the same world and form partys to level and or missions/quests. I'm not sure what you mean by *change* but you share the same environment as other Partys as well.

2) Can you fight against other players, i.e - one party against another to get items and stuff (ala NWN online?)

Answer:

Yes you can, it's called Balista inside the FFXI but usually, you can't fight other players, you fight monsters only.

3) In the story, if you have x many people playing on a server (and I assume your only allowed 3ppl per party), is every person on the server trying to achieve the same objective within the story? If one party does something first, does it mean another party cannot do it?

Answer:

Each person is following the same story line and each are trying to achieve the same goal. Doesn't matter what mission or quest, some people have the same goal in the end. Each person may be on a different QUEST or MISSION but the story line is the same.

ANSWER
Actaully, you can pt with whoever you want, doesn't matter. You can party with friends or party with total strangers. And the party limit is six persons ;p to hard to do stuff with only 3. You can also for alliances with other partys to accomplish bigger and meaner things :P
I hope that naswers some questions but you really have to try it for yourself, there's a 30 day free trial for it.

It's a MMORPG, I suggest you research these type of games a bit more. It's not like the normal Final Fantasy games.

Yeah this isn't like any other Final Fantasy totally different. If you do get it though, and you ask some questions about stuff you need/want to know, then you'll be a pro in no time. :moomba:

I know it is nothing like the previous FF games, the questions I have asked probably werent understood fully, but you misinterpreted them.

I was basically trying to compare it to NWN, because that is the only online RPG i ever played....

It's ok, your questions have answered basically what I wanted to know!
