View Full Version : Signature problem?

1. Your signature can not be longer than 500 characters.

Ok, since when did the signature had a character limit? All I wanted to do was add a bit more text to my already "more-than-500-characters" signature, which is basically an image linked to a site that includes the alt tag and such and the image is aligned to the right.

Anyway... Is it possible to lift the character restriction or maybe increase it... to say 750?

I think it's just one of the defaults that got set when the board was upgraded. I removed the character limit entirely.

ok, yay!

No limit? Let's see, that would put it at a max limit of...16.7MB!

<prepairs a 16.7 MB signature...> :D

No character limits; there are still size limits. :aimmad:

A maximum width of 550 pixels.
A maximum height of 250 pixels.
These include any text in the signature outside images.
Total file size of all images combined must not exceed 50 KiB (51,200 bytes).
Any signatures not following these or any signatures with questionable or problematic content will be removed/edited by staff, and you may have your signature editing privileges temporarily disabled if this happens several times.

Hmm...

<decides that it is probably not the best idea to post a 16.7MB html comment in his sig, even though it is not visible and takes up no space>

<i>I was just joking before, by the way</i> :D

Dammit.

EDIT: And the anti-all-caps filter is on too. :p

*messes with vB options for awhile*

EDIT2: Changed signature character limit to 9999, disabled the shouting disabler, removed 30 second wait between posting, and removed minimum characters in post 'cause someone said something about that messing with the thing where people quote people or something.

<i>The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.</i>

There's an option in the acp where anything around quote tags doesn't count for the minimum post length, disable it.

and then disable the disabler.

while in a 2-D geometry that is true, in our spiral-shaped world a negation of a negation leaves an object with a net motion.

we need a character key for an upside down capital A. Unless eoff denies the existence of the universal.

How about the triple equals? My prof calls it Mayan 15. :)

Universal and existential quantifiers would be very cool now.

I am closing this thread for two reasons:

1) I hate math.
2) I can.
