It should be noted that the philosophical leaders of the current Republican Party of the US feel that the less government, the better. Grover Norquist, the father figure and head theoretician of the GOP, is an anarchist and has a gargantuan picture of Lenin as the centerpiece of his study. His goal, as represented in the Contract with America (which he wrote) as well as the current administration's and congress's policy of lowering taxes and increasing spending has the sole goal of causing government to fall apart and cease to exist.
