I've been noticing that everytime that I come here, most or all the threads are "flaming". Literally. It's not usually because it's been posted in a lot, but because it's been viewed a crap load.
Anyways, I always thought that if it was flaming, than it's good reads in it. This is not usually the case anymore.
In any case, does the flaming part affect the way everyone views the threads, and are they even really nessessary? If they are nesessary, would you want the forums goons to chage anything aboot them.

I think the number of posts or views for it to be flaming has gone down. It used to be 30 posts or 250 views, but now it's something more like 15 posts or 100 views, maybe?

All I know, is that if you don't like any FF, and you post in that FF's forums...
...you don't ever quite stop getting flamed, if you keep on arguing your side.

Yeah, I've noticed, it only takes 20 views or so to make the thread a hot topic.

Personally, I never pay attention to those folders. I read every thread regardless of what's beside it, but there should be a system of measure somewhere and this is as good as any.

Haha. I'm so tired after eight hours of non-stop school that I read the first post and confused myself for more than a minute. I thought you were talking about an increase in people flaming each other.

I suppose the number of reads to make a folder flamy should be increased, with the increased number of users and spiders floating around reading them :p

i am less likely to read huge threads because it just means there's more crap in them.

Me too. I vote to increase the number of posts to make a hot topic to 40 or something. Perhaps 30. :p
