Can anyone help me think of some of them? I'm looking for the names of games released pre-Pentium (DOS-based games). Any kind of short description of the game would be great, too.

X-Wing?

And, what's more important? Are you using "pre-pentium" as a synonym for "DOS games) (it's not) or do you actually have a 386 or something lying around that you want to play games on?

I'll probably be using DOSBox. I'm looking for something preferrably more on the sci-fi adventure-rpg side than 1st person space shooter or RPG, though. Kind of like Dune, although that was more strategy-rpg... but keep 'em coming. :)

Its like one of the first 3D games ever. Its a 3D space trading simulator. I've never played it personaly but I dont have a pre pentium system either :P. Im sure it was on quite a few formats but the only one I know off hand is the BBC micro. Piccy (http://www.rubybay.com/users/drbeeb/screenshots/elite1.gif)

Elite was more a NES game than anything, and besides, Elite II : Frontiers was WAAY better, you could actually MANUALLY dock your ship without a docking computer, unlike Elite where it was impossible and if you tried you just crashed and died in a horrble mangled wreck =(

But yes, Elite II, or any of the Realms of Arkania games.
