Omega Weapon

Last night I had several hard and long struggles with Omega Weapon....In one of them, I made 2 succesful Lion Hearts on him (17 hits x 9999) + several other Renzokuken. In my oppinion he should be dead, so im asking you guys:


How much HP does that son of a b**** have?

AND...

How do I protect myself agains Terra Break?

To protect yourself from terrabreak:
Use a Hero or a Holy War
It's a few years ago I played FF8, but you can get 100 hero's refining a card (I believe Laguna's card)
You can steal/mug/whatever a holy war early on in the game from Seifer, and I believe you get 10 of em refining the gilgamesh card....

Because you're gonna do what with em? If I remeber correctly, the Omega Weapon is in the Ultimecia Castle, so the game will be finished in like an hour :S

Well anyways, good luck getting hold of some heros then. There ARE other ways then refining your cards, but I wouldn't know em. Look for a strategy guide or walktrough.

Oh, well... here we go again but I'll keep it short this time and just give you the info:
About Omega Weapon:
Attacks and how to avoid them: 1) lvl 5 Death. Either, don't be at a level multiplised by 5, OR junction 100 Deaths to your stat-def.
2) Meteor. Have high spr (shell halves the dammage).
3) Megido Flame. This is Omegas mos deadly attack. It does exactly 9998 dammage to the party and neither protect or shell will work. To survive... either Block with a GF or have 9999 HP before the attack (make sure to heal with megaelexir after this attack, but you may wait until Omega Weapon does his next move since it won't hurt you at all if your hp is1).
4) Gravia. This attack dammage 3/4 of your current HP (this attack can't kill so if HP is 1, this attack will do 0 dammage).
5) Terra Break. This may be your end. If you'r not prepared that is... but all you need is the ability Defend. If you use Defend when Omega Weapon uses Terra Break... then you will take 0 dammage! So you should get the Defend ability to as many party members as you can.
6) Ultima. Same as Meteor.
7) Ligth Pillar. Since this attack does 9999 dammage to one of your party members, no matter what, the one who is hit will die. But worry not, since Omegas Ligth Pillar is predicable, you just need to be prepared to revive the one who dies.
After all this Omega Weapons attacks will repeat... all but lvl5 death, so you will always be prepared. Oh, and one more thing... He may use a psychical attack at random(wow RANDOM) betweene the other moves, but don't worry, it's a weak attack and it may miss!
Location: Ultimecias Castle
Draw: Flare, Holy, Meteor, and Ultima

Don't forget to use "meltdown" on him. And don't forget that hero/holy wars= Cheat!:p

"I" consider them "cheat" because they make you invinsible. I never use either them, Armagedon Fist, The End or Lion Heart just because I think they're all to overpowered and cheap.

I've beaten Omega Weapon blindfolded, solo Squall and even without junctioning.
You don't fight Omega Weapon because of the revard. You do it because it's an intressting battle if you don't use cheap methods.

Omegas stats:
HP: 1,161,000
Str: 232
Vit: 200 (but since you can reduce it to 0 with meltdown it doesn't matter that much.)
Mag: 149
Spr: 130
Spd: 60
Eva: 7

Ya, I train them as much as possible and got all (exept Rinoa) at lvl 100 :D

I think the storyline was great, even better then great, but I think the story will go a bit slow if you train all the time...

Well, you got plenty of time to train them, for example before entering Lunatic pandora or before fighting Ultimecia...

Armagedon fist= Max out Zell's Str to 255 and then use his duell.
Use only XO and > then < all the time over and over. By doing this you can get 40 hits in 8 sec or even more if you're fast enough. And if the enemy is in meltdown status you'll hit for about 9999 every time.

The best way to level up your characters is to train on "Island Closest to Hell" or "Island Closest to Heaven". I always go for hell since you get more rare items from the monsters there.
It really doesn't take that long to level up on those islands. You can get from level 50 to 100 in 2 hours.

Rubedo: In any case, Omega Weapon can be quite tough, depending. You can either be in a desperate situation, or be kicking his butt. From what I've checked, there's no clear cut way to be equal to him.

Trumpet Thief: *Breaks through window holding Trumpet* First of all, get Ultimate Weapons. They're Vital because of the limit breaks they give to certain characters, as well, raise your power by a decent amount. After that, train around the Esthar areas, or the Island Closest to Heaven/Hell after the events of going to the moon.

Grimace: *topples over* Be sure to try to draw a lot of magic, which you will junction to factors important, such as Attack, Defense and Magic, the main ones. After you max those out, you may move onto the others. Try not to rush into Ultemicia's castle, it is quite difficult to get out. Consult gamefaqs on how to leave her area.

Trowa: If you haven't, do the Bahamut/Eden sidequest. Use the Ragnorak to fly off into one of the corners of the map until you find an uncharted base type area. Enter, defeat Bahamut, and leave. Enter again and you can keep moving forward. The area is simple to manuever through, with the exception of the beginning, so look at gamefaqs if you get completely stuck.

chaos: After that, get Eden by drawing it from Ultima Weapon, he shouldn't be too much of a nuisance, adn basically, try to do all the GF sidequests. If you are in a desperate situation, GF's make good shields. If not, just use Squall's Renzozuken, and occasionally, whip out a GF.

Just 2 more things...

And the best way to draw great magic is to equip "no encounters" and then walk around on Island Closest to Hell since there's alot of hidden, great drawpoints there.

And you can also get the GF Eden from Timat in Ultimecias Castle... in case you're to lazy to do the Ultima Weapon side quest. :p You should beat all Ultimecias servants before you try Omega since that means you'll have all the commands aviable.

I can do 600K damage with punch rush/booya combo back and forth, with a low HP zell with um....I guess pain would work.
