Looking for a retelling of FFIX.

Looking for a retelling of the game for my fiance` as she doesn't like any fight scenes of the FF games but trusts that is a great story.

Are there any well done fanfictions of the game that retell it?

(For anyone that remembers me from four years ago, hi, and yes I am engaged :))

I've been searching around fanfiction.net,b ut a lot of the stuff that's there are just other stories, using the characters and the world. I haven't found one "novelization". I'll keep on looking,for I have nothing better to do, so if I find anything, I'll edit this.

Are their any 'novelizations' of any FF games? It's a shame no one has written one. The best i've read so far would be 'A Mist Over Winhill' a few years ago.
