There is a riddle thread in the forums at adventchildren.net seemed to get alot of attention, theirs is just ff7 related riddles, but I think opening it up to all riddles would be even better. I guess I'll start. This is an older one but i can still confuse alot of people with it.

Alive without breath,
As cold as death;
Never thirsty, ever drinking,
All in mail never clinking.

A fish. BTW how was that FF7 related?

What gets smaller the more you add to it?

i see you have read The Hobbit,
no that wasn't ff7 related, as i said i would be opening this thread to all riddles. A couple of my ff7 ones were:

I look to the stary night and see a dream of my lost flight. I look to her and see what went wrong, till later she proves herself correct, the pride of the town no longer erect. <name everything involved with this riddle>

and

The wonam I love is the mother of my enemy, my sin is inaction. Who am I?

Shlupmoo: A hole.
The Moo Man: The first riddle refers to the whole rocket town/Cid/wossfaceineptwomanperson incident. The second is Vincent.

What is the longest name of a country in which no letter appears more than once?

Easy...the United States Postal Service. :p

(Yeah it's a fish, but fish do have breath, so the riddle seemes a little misworded)

You know you guys are supposed to put new riddles after you answered the old ones. And the answer I was looking for is 'debt' not 'hole', though both work.

So to respark action, please to put riddle after answering: 1+1=?

1+1=10

A man looked at a person in a photo and said "brothers and sisters I have none, but this man's father is my father's son." Who was in the photo?

The person in the photo is himself.

The person in the photo is his son.
Inferno was right.

And 1+1=10 in binary.

12 days.

'brothers and sisters I have none, but this man's father is my father's son.'

Since 'brothers and sisters he has none', you know that 'his father's son' can only be himself. So 'this man's father' is in fact himself. Therefore 'this man' is his son.

Assuming the correct word is "difference" ... :p

Is there any answer to that riddle? Because it seems about as meaningful as saying "this statement is false."

I'll bet there is no answer.

(Yeah it's a fish, but fish do have breath, so the riddle seemes a little misworded)

Not to mention that saltwater fish do, in fact, have to drink water. (http://www.fishdoc.co.uk/water/osmoregulation.htm)

The environment contains more dissolved salts and ions than the fish's body so there is a net movement of water out of the fish's body into the stronger sea-water. To replace this constant loss of water, marine fish drink sea-water and excrete the excess salts.
