I know that here in america a very large proportion of people have names that end in an e sound.

For instance Brittany, Larry, anthony, amongst many many more.
I would assume that names that end in a certain sounding way more than likely derived from around the same area. I always kind of wondered where those names may have derived from though.

Brittany is the Anglicanized form of the Gaelic Brigid. Larry is the pet name for Lawrence, though I don't know where that originates and neither do I know Anthony and I'm too lazy to find them myself.

As far as I know my name is of Hebrew decent. That name is John(ugh).
