Not that either choice really helps us British people either, as if Kerry wins we'll lose our 'special' relationship with the US and be tottally isolated from the EU and if Bush wins we'll continue down on this hell road so I say good luck to them and chose the one that suits your country best.

If you want the satisfaction of picking the winner, vote Bush. If you just want to toss your vote away, vote American Nazi Party (or any of the misc non-big-two ones...it's all the same anyway). If you have some bizarre need to vote for liberals, or if you think voting actually would change what I've already predicted (Bush), then vote Kerry.

I personally would love to see the communist party win, but good luck with that *grumble*

The best way to send shivers down the spine of the collective minds which come to be known as government, is to vote and make your intentions known. Somewhere down the line, maybe, the right person will get into office and real progress can be made, but we must first take the steps as citizens and exercise our right.

Take care all.

Ralph Nader - Independant (Former Green Party?)

18-29 crowd are supposedly going to show up voting in record numbers, which is a good thing for Kerry. This election is too close for any real prediction. I expect to see vicious legal battles no matter who wins :rolleyes2

SomethingBig

Might as well note vote, if you're voting for Nader. It's a waste of a vote.

The Captain
11-02-2004, 03:33 AM
Correct, Nader was not given selected to be the nominee by the Green Party in this election due to, among other things, his influence in the 2000 election. Now, I love Nader and think what he has to say is vitally important to this country's future, but I am frustrated that he is partially funded by Republicans who are hoping for a repeat of 2000.

Take care all.

I dissagree with this statement. Silence can be just as powerful a message as words if enough people realized it. If your registered to vote and don't, you have every right to bitch. Why vote when you don't think any of the candidates are worth a damn? I highly respect the people who register but refuse to vote until the give us a candidate thats worth the time it took to fit his armani suit. Its when you don't bother to even register and get invovlved at all that you really shouldn't be complaining.

If you REALLY wish to make a statement, you go to the polls and click "No Vote" then click vote then leave.

And you have to remember, there are lots of people that register because they ask you to when you go for any form of governmentally controlled identification. A lot of people I know only registered cause they could.

I see refusal to vote the same as refusal to use a tool your given to do a certain job. Like my step ladder at work. I'm barely over five feet tall, so it's really nonsensical of me to try and reach the tall shelves without a step ladder.

There's always a candidate who will speak up for what you believe in to a certain extent. S/He won't encompass all your values, because who really can, but they can still be a decent voice for what you believe.

I think people's involvement in their world should be equal to their tendency for complaint.

Be more ashamed of the young voters. Only 17% of the voters were young, matching the number in 2000...when it should have been close to 21%. Gee...thanks a lot.

Ugh...what's worst is that all polling places are designed to be in walking distance. If fat, overweight conservatives can make it to the polls...why not a younger, slimmer, better looking liberal party do the same? It's ridiculous. I blame Final Fantasy. Yeah. Bush seemed to have taken the "less important" states. I know that sounds bad, but I noticed that while Kerry won states like California and New York, well, Bush nabbed Arkansas. Maybe that's being a little crude though, because quite frankly, Bush did beat Kerry quite a bit with concern to electoral votes, which has to speak for something.
