Except for the guys with hoses and tranquilizers, this was almost a victory for Darwin.

I hate people like that. The worst part is that the only one punished will be the lion. They'll probably kill the lion and the crazy converter will be set loose so he can kill more lions. They're always putting the wrong persons to sleep >:/

When will lion-kind be set free? When will we learn not to judge people by the furry of their skin?

That's just funny. Good for the lion.

That poor man. Jesus Christ will certainly save his sinful lions' soul in the face of such adversity. I can only hope that more men throw themselves into the lion's den in order to stop their hedonistic ways.

The lion is clearly a terrorist supporter, trying to undermine Christian justice.
The time for action is now. The threat is clear. These monsters need to be hunted down and killed like the animals they are.

...But seriously. It's good that the man wasn't seriously hurt; I'm sure he had good intentions for what he was doing. Sometimes, people do things like this because of a mental illness of some sort; if that's the case, then I'm glad the man survived to be able to get the treatment he needs.
If his actions were simply prompted by excessive zeal, then maybe the old adage of "once bitten, twice shy" will apply.

......dumbarse

(my bible is in my backpack or I would quote it)

When Stan tries to make Jesus sin in the desert he tells him he should jump off a building because God would save him anyway. Jesus replies saying you shouldn't be testing God and looking for danger. Thats what this lion-chop did.....so....yeah....good lion.

As for the "humorous" joke told at the expense of the christians that were slaughtered at the paw of a lion during roman times......for shame. Its the same thing as making fun of the jewish population for being persecuted by Nazis. The Christians who died by lion and died standing up for thier beliefs, are in a different and much more sorrowfull situation than the one who jumped into a lion pit convinced they wouldn't hurt him because God was around. Please do not put them in the same catigory.

...What a bizzare thing to do. I kept seeing on the news that he jumped in and started praying, but not that he was trying to convert the lion or that he was bitten. What a loon.

Must be possessed by Stan.

Do you know what Christian sect he was trying to convert them to? That could make all the difference.

Mormon sect, perhaps?

Probably the same nutty Aussie who tried to climb into Binky the Polar Bear's cage a few years back. Binky only stole that guy's shoe and the guy wasn't seriously harmed, but Binky kept the shoe and guarded it until he died of old age a few months later.
