What a strange world we live in. You can buy shampoo at a grocery store. You can buy candy at a bookstore. You can buy a dog at the mall. What else can you find in a strange store?

What's so odd about shampoo at the grocery store?

There used to be a fruit/hardware/deodorant hybrid store near me.

It closed down after people complained that the fruit tasted like shampoo.

You can buy anything at WalMart. Probably a car and a mortgage too.

Nothing much if you eat shampoo. Department stores don't really count in this since your meant to be able to buy anything there. Except cars and loans. That's pretty weird.

Grocery stores haven't been food only since about the great depression.

I'm sure you can buy underwear in my local bookshop.
Fancy that, you can just pop out to pick up a new paperback and a lovely little black thong in the same shop. Convienience!

Grocery stores haven't been food only since about the great depression. Growing up I've seen a lot of food only stores. Just depends on where you shop I guess.

It is quite possible that is not the kind of bookshop you think it is.

Grocery - A store selling foodstuffs and various household supplies.

Finding shampoop in a grocery store shouldn't be too weird. You can rent videos and music CD's from libraries, nowadays. Now that's weird.
