We all probably agree here that Final Fantasy is the greatest NES game of all time. This poll is to name the second. Many people I talk to say that Super Mario Brothers 3 is the greatest, and I say that's a bunch of bologna! The Legend of Zelda is a much better game. So, what do you think? Who's it gonna be?

The Legend of Zelda of course...

And I make three!

Honestly, I love both games, but The Legend of Zelda has a special place in my heart, and always will.

I've got to give it to Super Mario Brothers 3. Wonderful, fun game. Puzzles have never really been my thing, which is why I'm not so fond of the later Zelda games, and to an extent, the Zelda series as a whole.

Mario 3 offers some of the best platforming of all time with everything you could ask for: desert worlds, ice worlds, lava worlds, giant worlds, and even cloud worlds. It's the whole package.

I whole-heartedly disagree. Hurrah.

SMB3, just because I never actually played Zelda1

i have both games, but i'll go for mario. zelda is a great game, but mario stands for me as the pinnacle of all that was nes. i just can't find a bad thing to say about that game.

Call me crazy, but I prefer Crystalis to the Legend of Zelda.

It took the Zelda engine and completely expanded upon it. It had a superb storyline for an NES game, splendid music, memorable bosses, and oh so very lush environments.

Remember that giant bug you had to beat with the fire sword? What a fun game. Matter of fact, I'm gonna go start a new game in the GBC Crystalis (woe is me, my NES version doesn't work anymore).
