Post here how you proceed in whatever: levels, ranks, maybe AF and ranks and missions!

Been a while sincee I posted here, guess I was level 44 then. Right now I'm level 54 ranger/ 27 ninja. Done 4/5 of my AF quests, gonna be rank 6 soon.

I'll post later how I'm proceeding, if you do. >_> don't wanna double post.

Before mods are pondering closing this, I think this topic is great to see how we are developing in game and proceeding, instead of "updating" our status in that topic about your linkshell, server and name thread.

So let's see...

Last few days I finally got all my Kazham keys, working on Mission 2-3 (kinda stuck MAPLESS!), annnnd hunting Spooks 'cause that's the only thing I can to get some gil flow. :P

Let's go with the stories of how I got my keys. IT IS A GOOD ONE! Read it. xD It took 3 days, 1 day for each key. xD *ahem* Okay, I got a ranger to help me get my first key in Ghelsba (which took FOREVER!) and it took forever right, then I finally got it. After forever. Then I went back to town and did some stuff right, then I logged. THEN the next day I got the same ranger to help me get my second key in Giddeus (sp?). Fighting fighting fighting, then the ranger had to go afk for a bit, and I was just standing there. Then I saw one of those birds that are supposed to drop the key, so I go to fight it. Then another bird links ... I'm doing okay, I can kill them both and still barely survive. BUT THEN another one links! I'm all panicing, I use my 2 Hour Mighty Strikes ability, then the ranger comes back ... but it's too late and I die. xD AND THE BASTARD BIRD DROPPED THE KEY TOO! But my inventory was full so I didn't get the key. >_< Annnnnd my HP was in JEUNO! So I waited an hour and didn't get a Raise, so I had no choice but to HP. :P Then we did it again ... and I got the key. ^_^ The ranger was gonna help me with my third key in the Mines, but didn't know what to fight so I got the help of a Thief. We rode chocobos from Sandy where he found me, and we sang the Rubber Ducky song on the way there. ^_^ And the second monster we kill dropped the key. Hooray! So that's all. ^_^ Wasn't that exciting? :D

And err, I am a level 25 warrior / 15 monk ... gonna go Paladin once I get level 30. (which I've been lacking on leveling lately)

And um. Like. I like to sing "Rubber Ducky" while riding chocobos ... but sometimes if I'm with somebody they get scared :( BUT! Sometimes they sing too! Okay, I'm done. o_o

About two days ago I got my Warrior to Level 25 YAY!!! :D

Now I got my Chain Armor all set I need to upgrade my sword and get ready to find the keys to Kahzam

Hit lvl 43 with Warrior. Took a little time to get all jobs to 10, then all to 15, then all to 25. As of right now, i just need to level Rdm, Brd, and Smn to 10. They're all at 1 though =(
Got rank 5 a while back, pretty much by myself, only died like 8 times in Castle Ostroja(OH how i hate yagudo) Airships are such a convenience.
Got windy fame to hero status two days ago, and bastok and sandy up to lvl 5, and lvl 6 fame respectively. Norg fame however is always out of my grasp. rice balls are still 160 ; ; but at least i get to take out my aggression on yagudo in giddeus farming necklaces.

My biggest accomplishment to date is getting the Leaping Boots on my 9th Lizzy kill, which was nice. My LS is still slaughtering mandies in Balga's Daius at least once a week, which is good steady gil, too.

Talonaki, 75 rdm in my ls helped me get my AF weapon, which i don't use b/c i use gax, but i wanted to get out of the way, and it's just nice to watch him in action in any case.
Saving up for brigandine+1 and then Haubergeon+1 :love:
I'll update when i get 10 leaping boot drops and can afford the elusive haubergeon. :rolleyes2

Ding! 35! Last 2 nights in a row I stayed up til 5 AM in a party with Clyde (him as whm33, me as brd33). Last night we got to 34, tonight to 35. I work the next 2 nights in a row, but after that, I think we'll do another one Sunday night, that way Clyde can get his teleports, and then I'll be on my own for the next 4 levels until I can do BDSM40, which I am really, really looking forward to.

Unfortunately, I'll have to sub whm for the next party, because I only have rdm to 17, and getting sam to 17 is a higher priority for me than levelling rdm again. /em waves goodbye to Fast Cast and Enthunder

Also I went yesterday to monastic cavern just to open ocffer for my AF. Used tonko: ichi and found one in 2 minutes, then I warped away with my Hunter's Jerkin. ^^ Also I got lv 55 cap quest done yesterday. =)

There will be tons around the 48-50 area wanting to do them however...and some just might pick up a BRD with lower downtime issues. ^^

Back in January, which is the last time I played, my warrior was level 33 and had a 16 Dark Knight subjob.

I liked to switch between levelling Dark Knight, which was actually 18, and my warrior because the warrior job was able to do higher quests.

I miss FFXI.

Got level 60 on my PLD

3 High paying BCNM40's in a row... 1 Erase + Phalanx drop and 2 Erase + Utsusemi drops :D :D :D

Finished my AF3 quest ^^ I'm now officially a "Paragon of Paladin Excellence"! :D
...People don't like to help with NMs... If there's no skill up or item drops involved, don't bother shouting lol.... It's 28750487 times as bad as shouting for a coffer PT. At least it was for me.

Bought a few things ahead of time. I got 3 pieces of Adaman, Espadon +1, and Utsusemi: Ichi / Tonko: Ichi for my subjob ^^ I play WAR/NIN and it's fun as heck :P

Made it to 38, more than halfway to 39. BCNM40 is so close I can taste it...

But now I have to run back to San d'Oria to get my scroll of Battlefield Elegy

I dingned 60 xD Got G3 done last night and managed to NOT die once. A record for me thanks. Chainspell escape is my new best friend oh and also... Super Jump + Escape don't work >.> My partner in crime ate it while I escaped safely :P haha..ha. Now working on rank 6 >.<

I got my Bard AF1 last night. I was just about to give up /shouting for help in Jeuno when 2 high-level drgs (57 and 60) agreed to help. Bought some prism powder (only have Sneak from my sub) and went after Tros. It dropped like a whore's drawers on payday. I spent more time healing myself from Waterga II than I did healing the drgs (and that was with Water Carol on)

Contrary to what people say about BRD AF, I love this little knife. It looks badass and has CHR+2, DEX+2, low delay, and no hit to VIT. I'm going to use it in BCNM40 instead of my Monster Signa.

Of course, I forgot that the door in Ranguemont Pass only opens from one side and forgot to get a Warp Scroll, so I had to deathwarp back to Jeuno :(

Now, I think I'll be joining Clyde in powerlevelling our lower-level LS members...he goes as WHM40, I go as BRD and keep Ballad on him while helping heal. The parties we powerlevel are going to *own* the mobs they go after. Especially if they have someone who is willing to temporarily disband so I can sing at the party, and/or a ranger who can join our party temporarily to get Prelude. Hell, my dagger skill's low enough that I can skill up on links and leave Clyde free to continue powerlevelling as normal.

I'm actually looking forward to powerlevelling.

BRD AF1 is in the same room where you get your glittersand for RNG AF, too. I wanted to find a RNG to bring along, but only 2 high-level drgs were available. One of the drgs took the glittersand in case he wanted to level ranger later.

Finally did a succesful BCNM run; Original plan was a full 6, but we died the first time, on the DRK's orb, so we decided to let him run back to Jeuno and get another orb so he could make some money...and then the war's drops sucked, so he got another orb, took first dibs on the good drops, and we lotted for the rest.

7/8 this time around, and I got Phalanx, Regen, and 2 Turquoises. I listed Phalanx at the AH first, and it sold by the time I'd finished listing everything else.

Drk was the only one who got Erase :(

Should have gone as a whm30. Davoi is cake with Sneak and Invisible spells, as long as they last long enough that you can pick your spot to recast.

Nothing major to report, dinged 42, but that's less significant than the fact that I actually got a party somewhere OTHER than the @#$% Nest. I hate the Nest. It deserves the reputation that Garbage Citadel has.

I was a good boy and did as asked; changed to some lv 1 job and died few times at Rolanberry Fields so she could have her satisfaction of seeing me die and raise me. :mad2:

Oh and me? I got lv 61 recently and soon lv 62. Also got rank 6 few days ago ( killing Shadowlord was BLAST). Today we did 6-1 and tomorrow I'll be rank 7. :beer: /cheer

ok, you guys are overasly alot beter than me, but hey, i was a lvl 10 war, then i changed to a lvl 10 monk, i was just testin them out, then i changed my name to Hex. And i became a whm, i love it, whm is for me, then i got to lvl 18 in no time. And i find my self having to choose a subjob. i didnt want to fight with weapons etc.. so i thought, blm would be ok rele, i have my whm thats all that counts, so now iv been lvling my blm and for the time being im a blm6 / whm3. which comperd with you lot, im like nothing, but im getin there! lol,

Got 43 on brd and then changed back to whm (which I haven't played since I unlocked bard) and went to 32. I can't decide on whether I should try to go back to Yhoator for one more level, try to start an Altepa party early, or bite the bullet and seek in Garbage Citadel.

I dont understand why it's probably the most rare job! Bards are really amazing, and at least on Asura, there aren't that many high level bard.

I've been so productive today, Rank 3 AND I got all three of the keys for the Kazham Airship Pass. :D

Auntie Wyllius helped me get one, and the other two my big teddy bear, Galka friend got for me. The Ghelsba Key took AGES. Aggggeeesss!

The place was infested with the whole gang from the Thousand Acre Woods, an entire linkshell full of of people with some variation of Winnie the Pooh, piglet, and tigger in their names.

An odd bunch, and they kept killing all the orcs! Nasty monopolizers. But we got the key eventually and much /dancing ensued.

Then we headed to Giddeus where the key dropped in like 2 minutes. ^_^

Yeah...I'm sorta sick of the game now o_O

Edit: I forgot to mention the HOLES! Oh. my. god. Those holes in Giddeus are so much fun! Shooting down them made me all happy and joyous. I love the holes. :love:

wow I wish i had an escort to jeuno.But then again I went ahead to jeuno at lvl 2 and yes it is possible because later in the game our LS had a lvl 1 footrace from windy to jeuno.In which I came in second place.Anyway I can say one thing my Bard is now lvl 30 making it hte first advance job I actually got into the 30s and had fun with it.

edit- reaching rank 5 was a real pain so right now I'm just relaxing adn trying to make some gil so the elitist on this game won't think less of me.Since this game is to impress people so you can level game.

Today started as Lyxander- level 30 red mage. Ended as Lyxander the level 1 ranger/ level 1 beastmaster/ 1 summoner. Seen some new areas. My first attempt at getting advanced jobs and I get 3 in 1 day! woo hoo!

I'm soooo close to level 39, and I NEED level 40. I bought the IM hands, feet, and helm and ryl.sqr. body piece... can't afford any new weapons or the pants now. :x SO BRING IT ON!

edit: Oh yeah, one more thing- Last night a friend and I went into a No Cap Ballista match, where there were like... 1 level 75, one 65 and another high level... I dunno remember, 60 something though... and we went as level 10's. ^_^ It was so funny. :}

Now got Level 52 -- party disbanded when I was @112 tnl, so I'll get 53 first fight when I level bard again -- and my AF2. Choral slippers, they're utter pieces of crap. I still wear my RSE boots when exping so that I have enough MP to cast Raise.

So soon, very soon, I'll be wasting tons of time camping coffers/key mobs in the Crawler's Nest and Castle Oztroja

It's been a long time. I wish I could update that I dinged War all to hell, and am now at ~55 which is where i would be if i had kept working on war; but instead I dinged nin and thf both to 25, and got Leaping Boots again(I had sold the other pair). Cutiepatootie(Brd) and Pyrofanatic(whm) quit ffxi to play WoW.....I hate them now. They were part of my static BCNM team, and thus were integral in keeping me supplied with fresh gil. So now I'm on my own. I foresee many many hours of farming worthless crap(beehive chips, scorpion claws/shells, etc). Got back into crafting, 8clothcraft just now before i logged off, and all the components of the recipes to get to about 24. I gave up on bonecraft(41) b/c it just isn't worth the time to lvl it up as a main craft. So cloth and leather for me. My plan is to get thf to 45(millionaire's desk of course) real fast(couple weeks tops) and then farm/camp nm's to pay for getting cloth to 100 and leather to ~70.

Funny story. I helped this one guy(no names) when he first started. I told him what to farm, what to fight, where to pt; absolutely everything he needed to know to start the game off right. Gave him bout 20k worth of eq too b/c he was a war with no sub, wearing galkan ugliness and using a dagger ><. Then I decided to give him a linkpearl to my ls, b/c they're all very helpful, and he just couldn't hack it when i wasn't around. The next day i got a /tell chionos your friend ********* is a moron. /tell chionos who's the idiot you invited to the ls? /tell chionos is he retarded.....no seriously
Apparently he bugged the entire ls nonstop b/c i wasn't around, and then wouldn't listen to what they were telling him to do. To top it off, somebody on the ls told him to learn patience. His reply: Wuts that? wut lv do yu get that?

So then just today, he sends me a /tell saying that he got to 25 and asking how to get to kazan.
