tales of symphonia vs star ocean

ok, i only have enough time to play one of these and i can't decide. they cost the same and i have both consoles which should i get.

I'd go with Tales. Though Star Ocean has its moments and the story is probably a bit more deep, I really, really, really enjoy ToS's battle system. SO is also really annoying at some points because of its huge mazes and stuff. ToS was fun all the way through.

They have 2 staff reviews up there for Symphonia that kind of disagree with one another. I would read those as I think they give a good description of what you are getting into with that game.

I would vote for Tales. I tried Star Ocean and ,once again, just didn't like it.

Never played Star Ocean, but I can highly recommend Tales of Symphonia. It was the first RPG that interested me enough to finish it in years.
