And until the advent begins, it's not really "coming soon". The advent is the season. This is like the advent to the advent... may as well start the thread in January. :(

Your so mean and the whole point of the thread is too see if people are excited by it being next month and also about the commercicalism of it, also remember shops started this jazz 3 months ago so I think this really isn't all that early

They start advertising for christmas in july. My grandma has had her christmas shopping done since march.

I'm looking forward to being in a country that actually celebrates Christmas this year! Last year I was overseas and the year before I was in basic training. The commercial spirit won't bring me down in any way. yay!

I received my first Christmas card in the mail yesterday. That is just way too early.

I usually like Christmas and the whole thing that goes with it, but there's too much going on this year for me to even think about Christmas. I'll also more than likely be working on Chirstmas day itself so I'm not really into it at all this year. However, I will be sending out cards to whoever sends me their address...no glitter this year though so your carpets will be safe. :)

Working on Christmas Day is surprisingly fun, so long as you aren't alone. I'd almost go so far as to say working on Christmas is better than not working on Christmas... although I'm not so sure if it'd be the same in the job I have now, given that my previous job involved being face-to-face with the customer and now I'm not so much.

All I want for Christmas is for Square to make me Vagrant Story II, is that really so much to ask? :D

Merry Ridiculously Early Christmas everyone, especially Shlupquack.

I love Christmas! Not too big on all the commercialism, but it doesn't ruin it for me. My decorating/Christmas music playing/and all that great stuff doesn't start until the day after Thanksgiving, though. :D I love everything about Christmas. My husband is going to be deployed for Christmas this year, but the upside is that I'll be going back to our hometown to spend Christmas with our families! Yay! I've always loved the Christmas Eve service at church where we do the candlelight thing.

I absolutely adore Christmas usually. But I'm pretty miserable right now so I can't get that excited for it, maybe it'll change.

Christmas is hands down the best time of the year thou.

I can't wait! Christmas is very fun around school; we have almost no classes and...oh wait. That was last year. This year we have final exams before we get out for winter break. craaaaaaaaap.

But other than that, I'm really looking forward to Xmas this year. But don't scare me about it; I haven't even thought about what to get people yet.

I can wait. Yeah, I'm definitley excited, but it hasn't really sunk in, so..blah. Sorry for being teh party pooper. ;_; It's becoming less and less of a big deal, as I get older. Not the whole presents deal, but Christmas itself. I'm looking forward to hanging out with my friends like last year, though, and the whole Christmas atmosphere. Although I wish we had some damn seasons over here in southern California. >=0

chaos: It already snows a lot in Toronto... thank god we get to go to Vancouver when Winter starts.

Rubedo: Then it's pure white for one day, pure slush the next. Ah well, Christmas itself is fun, although, I don't find that it's "nearly Christmas".

I actually like the commercialism of Christmas. Christmas season doesn't officially start until November 26th...the day after Thanksgiving.

As for working on Christmas, I usually enjoy it, when I was a cashier that is. I hate tutoring on Christmas, I guess I don't like to think on a holiday.

I mean cold, brisk weather and snow with a warm atmosphere of people...nothing beats it. I usually like this time of year.

And I love it when Charlie Brown's theme is played too.

I like Christmas break. Especially last year, since my dad took off the same time I had off. It was nice.

Christmas day is nice, too. Something cozy about being with my immediate family for a morning where we're all together for one main interest.

On the other hand, I hate Christmas with my relatives. I don't socialize well with my cousins and such, so it's just a very long akward time for me.

I like Christmas songs, but the kind on the radio, not the churchy kind. I could live without Christmas this year. It seems like this year won't be as happy, because it's our first Christmas without Papa (my grandpa), and it's going to feel weird.

Christmas is over-rated, I will like when things get back to normal. Maybe I'd enjoy it more if I could spend it elsewhere..and yeah people act like Christmas is ALL the time 3 months before hand. It's just one day.
