I would like to know how you all beat the bosses of FF8

k, ultimate way to win.
I beat the forth disc, Ultimecias castle in 10mins so i know what to do.
JUNCTION!!!!
Junction moves?
K important thing. ultima on elemental defense. This way u are immune to all elements.
Meteor on strength - 255 Strength.
and so on.
GF'S!!!!
while lvlin squall got tonberry. when u lv up he adds to ur skills.
get cerebus and use auto haste. and improve ur speed. thats all thats needed. i was able to get about 3 attacks in b4 ne boss doin 6000 each. pretty sweet.
another way is to use duel. do it manually.
the ultimate combo is
Up - Down
then
Left - Right
keep tapping this and u can do over 200,000 damage when zell is at max damage.
when u start he can do 10,000. ON LV 6!!!!
and thats hwo u win.

What about using Holy wars and Edens like somebody told me?

Compared to limit breaks, eden is really wimpy and quite a few people (myself included) find holy wars to be cheating. By the way, you can do way more than 200,000 damage with Zell. Even 400,000 isn't too hard to get.

My friend used Squall, Zell and Rinoa, using thier specials/limit breaks (I think I'm on the right ff with that one) and won, but she used Holy WArs too so.....

It's very easy without holy wars, your friend should beat it again. (it's more fun)

You actually get heros but whatever. You get holy wars from the gilgamesh card which you get from the cc group. Unless you feel like getting everything it's not worth it.

For one thing I have my own strategy for getting through Ultemicea castle and nailing her.
First when you kill the first boss. Have ultima juntioned to Squalls strength then it will be no problem. Then choose to unlock ability. Junction suall with kamikazi (cactuars ability) and watch him nail through almost all the bosses in one shot (except tiamat). For tiamat kamikazi with your second strongest then just use aura and lionheart.

So the big battle is here.....
Junction hardly anything to your 3 weakest guys. Then junction your weakest with kamikazi. Card mod gilgamesh while your at it! Now get your three best players and make sure they are quistis, squall and some other.

When ultimecia comes kill off your 3 worst characters. Cast aura on squall then use a holy war. Keep trying for limit breaks and wait till he does lionheart (he will own). If ultimacia catches you without your holy wars onand does hells judgement use quistis's white wind (blue mage). Now keep hammering away!!!!
Wow u beet the game now u hear someone singing and sea ultimacia get owned and give her powers to EDEA!
By the way this guide to killing the castle is for EDEA because she is the maddest ff8 character.

Don't junction ultima to strength, it's not necessary to get 255. (if you use bonus abilities anyways)

What's wrong with Ultima? It has a cool bame to it.. a certain ring.

Mostly, Riona and Quistis making sure HP was kept up, and keeping a shell on Riona as a failsafe.

Did damage largely through Squall's limit breaks. 2 Lion hearts, and a bunch of lesser breaks.

9,999 is the damage limit on most attacks. Only Eden/Shockwave pulsar(EDIT:to be correct cactuar can too but it is only 10,000, yes 1 damage!!! :D ) can do more in one attack, however you can do much more damage by attacking multiple times with a limit break such as renzokuken, duel etc.

Okay heres what i do. i cast aura on quistis, and then have her use mighty guard. When she does that, everyone usually ends up with aura on. Then i have her use a holy war or hero or something (just cuz she has the weakest of squalls and zell's limit breaks) everything dies from there. so in essential,
Aura+mighty guard+holy war/hero = mass ownage
