Everytime I run a program in fullscreen my PC crashes and reboots itself. Can somebody help me out here? It didn't do that earlier this morning when I was playing KoF 97 on my MAME but when I tried to play RO it crashed, same thing with my NES emulator because they went fullscreen.

I looked at the error report and it showed me this.
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini120204-08.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Joel\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5F.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml
Erorr signature
BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : 00000118 BCP3 : F5E8BCC8
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 0_0 Product : 256_1
Anyone come up with conclusions from that?

Ah, a classic case of the old WER5F.tmp.dir00. Yes indeed, I see one of those twice a day at least. I believe the solution is a nifty little trick we in the computer world call "reinstalling Windows". You may also want to try randomly upgrading and/or downgrading your video card drivers and DirectX.

Hmm, I don't think it's my graphics card. It plays Diablo II and Halflife on Fullscreen just fine. How dp I find out what video card I have?

Twice a day, eh? And what OS do you run again?

I tried everything so far, this whole thing urks me because I can't play my beloved ePSXe or my King of Fighters games on my Neo Geo emulator. I can't play RO either but for some reason Diablo 2 or HalfLife it works fine. This didn't happen until today.

Maybe it has something to do with your emulators, and OpenGL and D3D.

I'm thinking D3D is to blame. My emulators run fine on windowed, well my Neo Geo emulator is fullscreen whether you like it or not. When I use MAME to play Neo Geo games on fullscreen it won't crash. This is driving me crazy.

Why not reinstall Windows and be done with it? It would've taken you one hour and about 10 mouse clicks. You would've been done for a good long time at this point, already happily playing your games. Troubleshooting Windows problems is futile. You're groping around in the dark for answers to a question you can't even define.
Yeah, I just got done reinstalling Windows myself. It's almost fun. Almost.

If all else fails, you're not re-installing Windows enough! :D
