if you want to become a miliionnaire in FF-8, here's my secret:

first, you must find a place where Mesmerizes are common (outside Shumi village).

next, you Mug them for their blades (that's if you have the Mug ability). you can mug 6 blades from them each time.

once you get 100 blades, you can convert 1 blade into 2 Mega-Potions with MedRecovery (i think), and once you have 100 Mega-Potions, you can sell them all for 500,000 Gil. you can get 750,000 Gil with the Sell High ability. :love:

Yeah, but doing that will lose you SeeD ranks very quickly, and you can only take so many SeeD exams.

You could cheat and get your rank to the highest and when your rank gets low, you could take it over until you can't anymore

It would also be useful for buying items that can be refined (eventually) into permenant stat-raising items as opposed to using Devour. Normally, that would be prohibitively expensive.

Another way to get rich:
Buy Tents and refine them into Mega-Potions. Sell the
Mega-Potion. If you have Haggle and Sell-High, you'll make 4500 gil for
every Mega-Potion.
