ff8 pc, help.

My computer passes all the checks, in the config. And it doesnt pass the 8-bit palleted textures.

I use a atholon @ 1.8 ghz, 512 mb ram, and video card radeon sapphire 9000.

My video cards are all up to date, and Ive patched the game already. I dont know whats the problem though...

btw. I havnt played ff8 in two years....

I have a Radeon on my computer, and it would run the game, (my one doesn't pass the 8-bit textures either) but was annoyingly flaky during the fmv's. Eventually I just got the game for the playstation. It doesn't seem to be much different if the test passes (unless it has something to do with it failing)

ATi drivers are twitchy at the best of times. Try using some old Catalyst drivers if you have them and see what it does.
