it seems like 7 and 10-2 have a connection one with Shinra and another with Rin and the planets energy

Maybe Shinra is just the name of the guy, although it is a bit wierd that they'd name him that...Maybe Square is running out of ideas and that's why there's a connection

It's no connection...just a Square thing.
Ever notice how there's a Biggs and Wedge in mostly all the FF's?
