It's pretty obvious Wakka or Zell should be the drummer. Squall or Cloud would be excellent bass players. Seifer on the lead guitar, backed up by Cid (FFVII) on the rhythm guitar would be a perfect combo. They'd be the vocalists as well.

So, my personal favourite:

- Seifer: lead guitar/vocals
- Cid: rhythm guitar/vocals
- Cloud: bass
- Wakka: drums

Since I think you missed the point, there is actually a band called The Black Mages headed by Uematsu and they've done some rather nice covers of FF songs. I particularly like their version of Gilgamesh's theme from FFV.

I particularly like their version of Gilgamesh's theme from FFV. actually what i was saying was: i dont think 10-2 is a very good game (i dont have a problem with ppl likeing it, but if u ask me i thort it was a bit of a let down) ayways, i thikn that the music in 10-2 is a bit naff, and that nobou was great for no co-operating (if he did)

Woodwind: Quistis on oboe, Yuna and Garnet on 1st flute, Selphie on 2nd clarinet, Cecil and lulu on 1st clarinet(just listen to lulu's theme, dangit@@), Locke would have fun on bass clarinet:) Squall on bari sax, Tidus feels like an alto and so does Baralai

Brass: Cloud on baritone; [nooj], steiner and sabin on tuba (sabin+low brass=awesome:D); edgar, Paine, gippal on trombone, then trumpets. . .hmm, wakka would be a good trumpet, his problem would be over blowing.. how about Edge, Guy, Frioniel, and Yuffie?

Percussion: Vincent= timpani; snare= zell, Barret, mallet: Rinoa, Vincent, Lenna.
