Only from an importer or someone that sells Japanese products as they were only formally released in Japan.

You can try E-Bay, that's where I got mine.

It's good to know though that the reason they were never given wider release was because of their tendency to be defective.

Hmm....I guess I got lucky then, mine's worked just fine for the many years I've had it. :D

Man, the PC version of Chocobo world was written horribly, if your computer isn't hyperthreaded it takes 100% cpu  .

to put it bluntly... and i don't mean to offend anyone who likes the game, mind you... it's utterly addictive in a mindless sort of way.

You wander about aimlessly, get into random fight, automatically fights them, repeat. It sucks. I only did it for neat items.

Yeah, it's a pocketstation game. Pocketstation games are basically the equivalent of graphing calculator games, except that playing them can unlock stuff on the playstation game. It's really fortunate that this game was not more integral to FFVIII, because as it says in the manual, they didn't bother to wait for Sony to release the pocketstation in America.

I have a pocketstation. It's really nice to get the rare items from it. My question pertains to the chocobo attacks. I have heard for any given fight after level 50, there is a 4/512 chance of running into an upgrade. I played this game for 20 hours after getting the first upgrade and never ran into the second. Has anyone gotten all 3 upgrades?

Yes. It took me about 2 hours. I guess I was lucky...

That's good and bad for me. I'm glad it's possible, but I think I messed up my chances by not uploading my first upgrade until level 100. :(

I played it on the PC version. It was pretty fun for what it was, and I got a lot of cool items from leaving it on all night.

I just recently got a pocketstation off of Ebay. The thing itself looks new, but it didn't come with the manual. So, how in the hell do I get the front to flip up so that I can put it in the PS memory slot?

I feel kinda stupid since I've been trying to figure this out for the last 20 minutes now.

Edit: I finally figured it out. I feel very stupid now, seeing that it was actually quite easy to do.
