How much is the monthly payment in Sterling? (i.e. pounds)? and can you pay with a Debit Card (e.g. a Visa Electron Debit Card) instead of a Credit Card? Please, I really need this information before I kick myself once I buy ff11.

I'm pretty sure that you cannot pay with a debit card unless you're in the United States. SWITCH cards or whatever definitely aren't allowed, so if yours is like a SWITCH card, then I don't think you can play.

oh no that really really really sucks. why dont they let debit card users in too, after all it diminishes a lot of square-enix's younger fans, which is the majority. and i cant even use my parent's credit card as they are german so they have a different currency and i currently live the uk, :(.

The majority is most likely over 23, much less 17.
Ouch!

Yeah, I'm one of the few 15-year-olds I run into in game. I wouldn't go as far as saying 23+, at least on Midgardsormr, I'd agree with Lionx on the 17+. There isn't much of a younger audience to lose at this point.

I've seen players as young as 9. Zero maturity level, making them hell to party with, but they do play.

i am 15 and i play, but a lot of the people i have partied with have been around 16/17
I donīt actually have the game, but I have wondered how much it costs to play.
In my country the game costs about 50 and after a month you should pay more every month. Isnīt that too much?
I almost bought it but then I noticed the payments. I wouldnīt pay. Well maybe itīs because I would have to pay it myself and I have other payments to do aswell like food, rent etc.
I know itīs great to play on net with others, but still. Maybe itīs easier for younger ones because their parents pay the costs.

$12.95 per month and 1 buck more for tetra master or any additional chars. I say its fair becuase of the GM services and updates you pay for.
However yea i can see where you are comming form too...so might watn to consider the costs.
heya i use debit card and its cost me about a fiver a month for two characters

Check cards are the way to go. Instead of spending hypothetical money that you may or may not have at the end of the month, check cards actually take the money right from your checking account. If you have a debit card, you can get a check card.
