What wakes you up in the morning?

For me, it's a piping hot shower.

I'm woken up by my parents, a phone ringing, a door knocking. However I don't officially wake up until 4pm.

The cold air in my house, so I have two alarms all far away from my bed, and they go off, and I get up in my underwear and its like 45 degrees.

i usually wake up when my mom does, then go back to sleep and don't go anywhere until she leaves the house. For some reason, i do everything after she leaves. Usually, i blast up my radio and don't usually get up until a good song comes on or until Preston and Steve say something funny.

For some reason I just wake up. . . But my alarm is always there :D Then I like to take a walk [to school] and cold water always helps too. . . I'm always sleepy, why is that?. . .zzz

kikimm
12-15-2004, 01:50 AM
For some reason, I set my three alarms---one that goes off really early, another about 10 minutes after that, and the last another ten minutes after that---that's supposed to be the "final" wake-up call...but it never works...I still end up staying in bed for another 15 minutes or so...*sigh* Why do I even bother?

So...nothing really wakes me up but my own guilt. Blah.

I guess I'm just lucky...if need be, I can snap to full awakeness and be ready for the day. A hot shower really helps, though.

A cold shower. :}

Recently I have been lazy, and sleep until 11am or 12pm. But what really wakes me up is hearing from my boyfriend when he calls me on his lunch break around 11:30. Other than that.. food, or a book, or a shower. ;D

12-15-2004, 03:54 AM
The alarm after about the tenth time I hit the snooze button, and then a shower.

The snooze button has gotta be on the top ten inventions!!

anyway.. what really gets me up all the time is a pillow smacked straight into my face.. which almost always escalates into a pillow fight (except that one time i was too tired and just started hugging the pillow)

yup.. other than that, i love my sleep uninterrupted

My dad wakes me up at around 6:15. I get up, take a shower, and then go back to bed until 6:45, when my alarm clock wakes me up. So I voted other. Because I am a stinking nonconformist.

Sadly, very little will wake me up in the morning. Even my incredibly loud and obnoxious alarm clock. I think I need to move it out of arms reach, except then I can't see it at night without putting on my glasses. Bah.

(Usually it ends up being my mom's warnings of being late that finally get me up - maybe that's why I'm late so much...)

Nothing "wakes me up," I just kinda go where I need to go while still mostly asleep.

My sister's alarm clock wakes me up, which is in the other room with her but she kinda rolls over and hits the snooze button while I totter around in the dark.

Yep, that's pretty much like me lately. Stay up late, get up early, finally "wake up" by evening and then stay up late and get up too early all over again. I gotta have my coffee, but it does nothing to wake me up.

I either wake up because of my alarm clock, which requires me to get out of bed, (because it is about 3 meters away) or people talking loudly in my house. (which really frustrates me, because until they stop talking for about half an hour, I can't fall asleep again.)

DragonflyLex

I usually either wake up because of the alarm clock on Sephex's stereo, or because I have to pee!

Otherwise when I do wake up I end up wake up Sephex..hehe

My cell phone wakes me up. Its a really nice thing to wake up to, much better than my alarm clock. And also, a hot shower wakes me up. And coffee. although, I dont like coffee.

lol, I'm ALWAYS the early bird of the family, waking up at 6:30 without an alarm clock. XD But I am always in a fairly good attitude in the morning, and the rest of the family is so grumpy....lol, ah well!

A good bowl of cereal in the morning gets the cogs turning. If i don't have breakfast, i'm just a zombie until lunch.
It used to be coffee, but it gave me huge energy dips after it wore off, so not any more :)

I agree with the majority. But my clock alone, not the alarm wakes me up. Is that confusing?

My dog (RIP) used to wake me by jumping to the bed, he entered the house at 6:00 when my mother opens the door.

Now I naturally wake up, if I beat the Cell Phone Alarm.

I wake up in spurts then go back to sleep for like twenty minutes then listening to people fighting in the morning finally gets me up. Or the sound of Myles Dad's radio or hair dryer going in the morning.
Then I proceed to pounce on Myles and paw at him like a kitty until he wakes up. :<3: Then I smother him in kisses and affection.

Every morning is a battle of wills for me. My alarm goes off then I receed into a dark bottomless hole and the battle begins. Every morning I have the strong desire to just drift back to sleep but something inside of me keeps me awake and eventually I drag my butt out of bed. If the consequences of me skipping out weren't so bad I wouldn't make it some mornings.
