Ribbons + Prorings

Is it fair to say that Prorings become obsolete once you have Ribbons equipped? AFAIK the anti-death effect only stacks the once. This is for the DoS version of the game.

For mages yes, but in DoS you can get sexhay Genji Gloves, which have better defense and evade % for your fighting classes.
