I finally did it. I have tried this countless times and never succeeded until last night. I got 100 nobles to like the Zidane-Blank duel. Not only do you get a Moonstone but the nobles give you 10,000 gil. I honestly never thought I would be able to do it, or that it was doable at all. So this thread is about getting 100 nobles to like your performance. Have you done it? Have you tried hard enough to do it? Has it frustrated you to the point where you wanted to throw your controller across the room? Do you have any pointers for people who have yet to succeed in doing this? Explain your experience succeeding/trying to succeed. ect. ect.

I've never gotten all 100 to be impressed either, but the REAL question still remains, HAVE YOU EVER JUMPED ROPE 1000 TIMES!?

I honestly don't understand how it's even possible after the timing stops being consistent (after 200 I think?)

I think I got a 100 once. It was easy for me since I play a lot of music rhythm games.

I've got 100 people impressed probably twice. It's quite rare to impress everyone because even if you don't make a single mistake, if you don't do things very fast, you'll lose a few fans. It can also take a while to get 100, and the more you keep trying that, the easier you'll mess up and get frustrated of the controls. :p Just keep trying, and eventually you'll do it. Maybe. Sometimes I just give up and forget about it. But getting the Moonstone and 10,000 Gil is still worth it, IMHO. And you can use Moonstone to enhance Eiko's Carbuncle summon. IIRC, Moonstone + Carbuncle casts Safe and Shell on everyone.

Yes I have performed 1000 jumps. It's quite difficult, I must have spent ten hours total trying to get past 200. There is a rhythm to it, it goes like this:
j=jump
_=no jump

1-20: j _ _ _ j _ _ _ j _ _ _ j ....
21-50: j _ _ j _ _ j _ _ j ....
51-100: j _ j _ j _ j .....
101-200: j j j j j j....
201-300: j j _ j _ j j _ j _ j j _ j _ j j ....
301-1000: same as 101-200

Let's just say I had a major thumb cramp when I finally did it.

Just persistence. You not only have to do all the entries correctly, but you also have to do it rather fast. Like as soon as the text is finished printing you have to push the button. But I think if you do a button like super fast you can do another button kind of fast and they balance each other out. And you have to not get really annoyed, which is very easy to do. You can be going on a roll and almost done and then miss one and be like all mad and by the time you come back to your senses it's time for the next one and you get that one wrong too because you're still mad which makes you more mad and then the next one, you see where this is going. I think I tried it a good twenty times before I got it. I kept getting like 58, 62, 68, 60, 70, 85, 44, 62, ect ect. Then one time I got 99 :mad2: , which pissed me off, so close. I was just tempted to take that score and continue, but I opted for the Moonstone, so I kept trying. I kept getting those kind of good scored and eventually I got 100. I'd say this is very similar to try to get Tidus' sigil in FFX. Sometimes the balloons just appear in your favor. One thing I did was put my thumb in the middle of the four buttons on each side. Then, when it told me to press a button, I would just tilt my thumb in the correct compass direction and hit the button. It helped, that way you don't have to keep moving your thumbs all around.

I agree with what SRL said. I just tried that duel game and even though I played it for about 45 minutes, the best I got was 98. I got about 93 on my first try, and there were loads of times I got 95-97. This is when you don't mess up at all. Messing up even once seems to drop at least 20 points since when I mess up one move, I get about 70-79 even if that's the only wrong move and everything else is quickly done. You also have to be very fast with pressing the buttons. I think the hardest buttons are left and right arrows. If there's a series of left-right-up-down combos, I usually slow down in those, missing a few points there. I thought I'd just stop since I was getting quite frustrated. :p It gets especially annoying if your first or so move is wrong because you won't get 100 then. When that happened, I sometimes kept trying, but after doing that mini-game for half an hour or so, I was getting quite impatient and just mashed all the buttons to make the duel end faster. Then try again.

I did it, but I was pretty miffed when all you get is a Moonstone.

My highest skipping is 275...I was put off by that stupid girl saying random stuff like "You can do it!" or "Wow 200!"

What enemies besides one of the friendly monsters gives you a moonstone (and that moonstone you are suppose to give to another friendly monster)?

I've always got 100 nobles impressed, even on my first ever playthrough. Just listen to the music, feel the rythym and go with it. I don't think it's that difficult.

I believe you can get a total of 3 or 4 moonstones throughout the game, the firtst is the present from Brahne after that sunovabitch Duel mini-game, the second is from a friendly monster, third from the Gem puzzle on the moutain path (Conde Petie>Madain Sari) and the 4th i'm not sure if u can, I cant remember if u get 1 in the Chocobo Treasure hunt but NO monster drops 1, at least none I've seen.

The 4th one you can buy from Stilzkin on disc 4 if you have purchased from him in every other spot.
