Sometimes I get the option to close and sticky threads pop-up and they don't work, I either want this fixed so it works or removed so I'm not feeling unhappy about it not working. Only happens whn I make new threads :)

The simple solution would be to put you back in the no threads group. ;)

You're the only person who seems to notice this, so I don't know what's going on.

I see it too. I just tried to make a new topic in this forum and in General Chat and it had the close and sticky checkboxes at the bottom of the page. But then the Thread Tools don't have any moderator options in them. Is there a separate place where you have to set up authorities for the thread management? Or perhaps the authorities of the Site Staff groups are not set up right?

EDIT: Upon further investigation I created a thread and checked the "Sticky this thread" checkbox but it didn't sticky the thread after I created it. Most likely the backend logic is in place to prevent anyone other than mods and admins from sticking their new threads, but the checkboxes aren't being hidden on the create a new topic page.

Which styles does this happen in? Assuming this thread title is actually relevant :p

I'm using the new 2004 style.

Does it happen in other styles?

And did you say it let you stick it, or only let you choose to stick it but it didn't work? Since in the test thread you deleted, you said it got stuck :p

It let me choose to stick it but it didn't actually stick it.
