Listening to Sean Salisbury makes me angry. It also inspired me to make this thread.
For those of you who watch obscene amounts of sports, like I do, who takes the cake as the worst of the worst analysts and commentators? You can choose one from every sport you follow religiously (or semi-religiously) and, no, you don't need to explain why they suck so much. ;)
So, without further ado...
Analyst / Commentator
Baseball - Rob Dibble / Tim McCarver
Football - Sean Salisbury / Jerry Glanville
Basketball - Stephen A. Smith / Bill Walton

Almost anyone who is on the 2nd tier roster. A lot of them are too cutesy.

I love most the people mentioned already.
The people I don't like are the ones that get too techy. Like, 'look at the gerat footwork on the left guard' or 'he's really been working on the arm angle of his change up'. zzzzzzz
I think Walton and Madden are great because they say stuff that none of the others do, in ways that none of the others can even dream of.

It's tough to really figure out who gets to me because each of the people that has been mentioned can, on any given night give either insight or completely fall off the face of the earth.
I personally love Bill Walton because whenever he speaks, he's not always being serious, but rather is usually saying things for the sake of saying them. "Throw it down big man" whenever a center has the ball, or "That was a bad shot.... wow, what a GREAT shot!" When a guard takes an ill-advised shot.
Though in my opinion, the best people working in the biz are the PTI fellows, Bob Costas, and the Inside The NBA crew, so I usually rate all other analysts against those people.
I used to enjoy Stephen A. Smith until he and the Shootaround crew began to spout "Defending Yourself And Your Pride As A Man!" after the Pacers debacle, which turned me off to the program.
Take care all.
I HATE SEAN SALISBURY! :mad2:
