Okay, I understand I may lose friends over this, but I've been seriously considering doing the first D&D related thing I've done in over 3 years.

For some reason, while chatting in #EoFF I realized IRC would be a great medium to DM a D&D style game, I've been thinking it over and I think I can pull it off but it will require at least a few of you to abandon those last strings holding you from falling into utter, hopeless dorkiness.

If even a few people are seriously interested I will get out my old D&D stuff and write and draw up a game to test the water. (Complete with Final Fantasy jobs and classes)

If you want to harass me about how much of a loser, dork, or idiot I am feel free to do it on AIM (MezzoCarrattere) #EoFF (Necronopticous) or Cellphone ((760)-680-9041) But other than that, don't flood the thread with it, because trust me... I already know.

Bring on the true geeks!

EDIT:: I should also add that you don't have to have ever played D&D to participate, it also will require no materials except a piece of paper and pencil and IRC.

Loser-Dork solidarity, man. *high-five*

I probably won't have time for a game, though, unfortunately. Nerts.

I'm willing to work around schedules and/or conveniently place SAVE SPHERES in the game so we can do it in chunks.

(I love dorks)

Or you can just wait for me to finish the Eizon RP. Or, better yet, you can HELP me make the Eizon RP.

((I'm running all 3.0 D&D by the way, buying a new set just for a glorified errata isn't appealing to me.))

If only I had more than but a few weeks to spare...
To increase my dorkiness, when I get back from overseas I'll be just a few short months away from being out of the Army. YAY! I fully intend to gather the friends around and run a AD@D quest based off the FFI storyline. None of them have played it and I know it so well it would work out perfectly. Long live AD@D! Down with 3.0!

3.0 is WAY better than AD&D. You aren't always wondering whether positive or negative numbers are good or bad.

The funny thing is if any of them figured it out they could go by the strategy guide and know what to expect in my campain!

I'm not sure about the official definition of IRC, but the chat server #eoff (the chat room) uses is an IRC server. It's like a chatroom standard. Programs like mIRC (http://www.mirc.com/) are used to access them, or even Eyes on Final Fantasy's own web client (http://www.eyesonff.com/chat/).

I can't say if I'll have a steady amount of time to give to this, but hell, I'm in. I'm in chat enough anyway.

Same here... wait yes I will but not to play D&D :P. I have some books around that were my brothers. But, that involves reading. I don't read. It's against the law here.
