I can play lots of song on Heavy and can do just about anything (within reason) on Standard. I got an ignition pad so I can DDR better at home. I really love playing DDR. In fact, it's really the only chance I get to exercize.

I'm still a noob at DDR. I don't play it all that often, and all my friends are noobs too. They gasp when I manage a B on Breakdown on Standard, let's just say that. I gasp, too.

Those are the ones I generally AA or AAA consistantly. Max 300 and PSM Oni are the exceptions, but for the most part I AA Max 300 consistently, and when the moment is right I can AAA it (with the help of the bar of course ;) ). PSM Oni I usually get an A, but can AA it if the circumstances are the same as Max 300 AAA. Then again, these are just the ones I always play when I go to the arcade, at home I generally play all of them well.

When I play at the arcade, I tend to start off with Last Message on reverse (I only use speed mods on So Deep, Cartoon Heroes, and Bag, and solo arrows are a sign of weakness IMO.) Most of my favorite song come from the IIDX section of the Extreme songlist (Sync, Sakura, Xenon, A, the TaQ songs, etc.) Anyway, since my accuracy isn't my strongest point (not many heavy AAs) I tend to do stuff with reverse as my only mod. Some of my more noteable reverse only accomplishments are:

-Burning Heat
-Stoic
-Across the Nightmare (challenge)
-Drop Out
-Sakura (challenge)
-Orion 78 (the slow one)
-Trip Machine Climax

I have a friend who can do any song (yes even the Max ones) on heavy stealth mode. its crazy how good he is...... sumtimes he shows us up by doing them without looking at the screen and standing backwards..... damn him....

I recieved DDRMax2 for the PS2 along with a dance pad, so you could say I'm a definite n00b at this game. I just now got the hang of it by completing Lesson Mode.

I get some high off of it. I know I'm sweating like crazy, but I just find it hard to tear myself away from it. Must play more, must play more....

I got DDRMax1 and a ps2 for Christmas, and I don't have dance pad, so it is virtually impossible to play cause the damn buttons don't go up and down at once! I hope2 get a dance pad for my b-day! Its sunday BTW... *hint* *hint*

I'm a newb at DDR and not. I haven't spent much time playing but have watched for a year or two now. I bought a pad for the house but am stuck with one of the crappier PS games to go on. In Indiana last visit I actually stepped up to some Standard songs. It's not that I can't keep up but more I have trouble reading what to do. Hopefully, if I can figure it out, Stepmania can help me with some of that. ^_^ -hopes-

well.. either ways... i've been playing this game occasionally at the arcade(ddr7th mix most often) , just started working at the medium diffuculty.. and my favorite songs (those i tried at least) are : Break Down, Healing Vision~Angelic Mix~(although trick is a bit too hard for me to handle), Witch Doctor, Celebrate Night and Candy

anyone has any suggestions for songs i should try? my songs usually has about 20-40% greats on average, and i think jump songs are fun :D

Heh, well I see you all saw my screenshot. I thought it was quite impressive nonetheless. Only took about two hours :p .

As for good songs, anything off of Max is good (Japanese Max, not the watered down American release). Witchdoctor is one of my faves on that mix. You should give So Deep a shot; awesome song.

East Germany (http://www.pineight.com/dwi/) has some good original songs there. You should give it a visit if you're into Stepmania or DWI.

I started playing two weeks ago. Fun game, I play a few games a day at a local arcade. They have DDR Extreme. I'm really good at light, can get AAs, but most songs on standard are too much for me. My favorite songs are: Butterfly, Drop The Bomb, Speed Over Beethoven, A, Cartoon Heroes, and Paranoia 270 (I can't quite pass 290 yet). My friends and I ordered some pads with a USB converter for Stepmania. Still waiting on getting them, though.

Dynamite Rave and Afronova on Standard become easy once you get into the habit of jumping around a lit. Mr. Wonderful and Do It All Night are probably the easiest songs to do on Heavy/Maniac ever ('cept Kung Fu Fighting ^_^) You should find a DDR Extreme machine. Songs are infinitely better.

If you've ever went to newgrounds theres a really good spinoff on DDR (you have to use the keyboard.)- Onigirl. It's tough, as you have to use the spacebar along with the arrow keys.
I suck at it, though. I have NO REFLEXES WHATSOEVER.

My accomplishments... Well once at the arcades I told my friend to hopscotch a song (where you put your feet together and hop to each arrow on a light or standard song, you only part your feet for doubles, it looks like your playing hopscotch) because we were tired from the last song, and I totally beat his score. We also got alot of weird looks.

Ok, DDR Max had an interesting scoring system where you got 50,000,000 points max, and then earned a bonus afterwards based on the score. I got all 50,000,000 and then the 30 some million bonus. Each step registers as one Perfect/Great/Good/etc... But an air, even though it registers as one step on the results, adds 2 to your combo.


And I have beaten The legend of Max, on Heavy. Lemme find a pic of that, and I'll post it.

Oh, it's much easier that Unlimited. The only tricky part to Max 300 (apart from the speed) is the swarms of 8th notes and the triplets in the middle and end. Those can be a pain for a while. I still mess up on the last 12 notes before the freeze every now and then. While I search for my Legend of Max pic, here's two more to keep ya dazzled.

what is harder unlimited or legend?

I think Legend is just a tiny bit harder only because of the speed. If it were at 300 BPM like the other 2 Max songs, then Unlimited would be harder. But they're both pretty hard for different reasons.

Myles ( VaShYmAn ) and myself solved our problems last night. We couldn't find any sites anywhere with anything other than originals. But like you said, legal actions, bleh. =/
We did, however, find some torrents of nearly all the mixes on our Lime of Greatness and we've got the 8th mix and are downloading the 4th mix right now. Which mix do you recommend?

Oh, and last night we went to this laser tag place with the pads there and found some really mean people. It pissed up off greatly but then we found this bigger but less occupied arcade with a machine there. There was one guy there playing and we talked to him for a while. It's just sad cause in Indiana with our friend Erin you can walk right up to the DDR people and just start a conversation and BAM you've gained a friend that'll you'll more than likely go hang out with. Not here in Michigan. It's really depressing. =/ Bah, random information. xD! -runs around in cirlces-
