Problem with Site News Program

I've been using FushionNews for awhile now, and it's worked well. I use it currently at Living in the Third Age (http://www.the3rdage.com) and there're no problems.

A couple of days ago I tried to get it working again on www.questw0rld.com, but it refuses. Its being a crap and I am sad. I contacted the site, but they're like foriegn or something and that means they're motarded and wont respond. Yes.

So I guess I need a new news script for my site. What should I use? I would prefer something that allows visitors to leave comments, and it has to be free.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped.

Seeing that you run a phpBB, you could export news from a certain forum of your phpBB. Each topic in the forum would be a news item and users could post comments on the news by simply replying to the topic in the forum.

I am sure there are mods available to do that with a phpBB. If not, it's not to much trouble to code in PHP.

I dunno, just an idea.

Oh, and you probably want to upgrade to phpBB 2.0.11 since 2.0.10 has security holes. :)
